  1. i think its just the rubber parts that need changing after 10 years everything else was fairly solid with the exception of some squeeky pullies
  2. these wires that come with the car look like they will last an easy 200k miles but i changed mine anyway at 100k which seems to be the normal
  3. thats about $3500 in parts excluding labor meaning my fees (which is reletively alot :P ) so what usually kills the people is the labor and it probably would have cost in the neighborhood of 10k$ if it was all done at the dealer.
  4. oh yea you could feel the new pullies and bearings, the motor smothed up quite a bit yea 10 more years is good. but at this point i think the most important parts were the ball joints, sway bushings, motor and trans mounts, and rear arm bushings. but the new pullies and stuff were nice :D
  5. try the dealer i have already asked around here but that was a while ago
  6. looks goood doesn't it
  7. its a 90 with i think 140k miles well total cost is biG ill give you an estimat after th list of parts Suspension: upper and lower arms, lower ball joints, air sus was changed 3 years ago, strut arm bushings, swaybar bushings, swaybar links, rear trailing arm bushings Steering: inner tie rods, rack mounts, rack and pinion overhauled because of leak, front wheel bearings (why not after all this and everything is appart) Engine: Radiator, waterpump, timing belt, all of the bearings and pullies in the front of the engine, motor mounts, trans mounts Total estimated cost: $3500
  8. dont know i never tried but i hear it goes on easy
  9. every singel thing. any questions just ask. i will be glad to help :D
  10. folks i am proud to say that my LS is back to a like new ride! i chnaged all of the front suspension pieces, motor mounts, and just chnaged the trans mount and WOW! the last annoying vibration while driving is gone, even starting the car up is back to a brand new like feel...i mean what feel?
  11. the 94's came with side skirts that looks way better. try look for a picture of a 94 somewhere, maybe in the gallery
  12. whats with the jack for the diff.? isnt it just the front. all you need is a ball joint puller and normal tools. the ball joint is a separted piece thats bolted on to the arm with 2 bolts so go and buy a good ball joint puller or rent one. if you want to see one go to workshop tutorials and go to the second page of "rear trailing arm bushings replaced" the second picture is the puller. i forgot if i used that one or another you can see in "lower arm replacement" first picture i believe.
  13. you should get the side skirts and stuff while your at it to get the 94 look
  14. WOW!!! dynoed it yet?
  15. try change the trans mount i changed mine on my LS and it solved the last piece of my vibrating car. its all back to brand new smooth. its only about $60 so give it a try it could be the key :D
  16. i would call you spoiled if your parents bought you one (just jealous ) its a great car even after 10 years some parts may need changing in the suspension and engine mounts, and trans mounts, but otherwise its all good. im still trying to convince my dad to buy me a manual 300. but its not happeneing so i will probably need to buy it on my own <_<
  17. oh and the sway bar bushings are only $20 for the pair so even better :D
  18. takes about an hour
  19. ahh if your going to spend all that money NA tune that uz puppy and bore and stroke it to like a 5.5 liter and make it rev to god knows how high if you think about it that might cost too much so just supercharge it.
  20. i had the same problem with my LS i changed everysingle suspension part on the front of my car and the noise was still there and i finally changed the swaybar bushings and the noise finally went away. they are cheap so why not change them. they are only like 20 bucks a piece.
  21. why would it become worse?
  22. i have never heard of "adding" vvt-i but i guess it could be done if you change head and computer, then you end up changing harness to so just get a vvt-i motor.
  23. its not possible unless there is a manual trans computer for a 1uz but maybe a standalone will work....in other words big bucks
  24. sounds like you need a new battery
