  3. Be very careful since you can potentially trash the engine. It seems like the pistons are contacting the valves. I would make sure that everything is in the correct position before proceeding and I can't be sure without knowing what you did before you removed the belt. Are you using a factory service manual or one of the online tutorials?
  4. This job is not difficult theres 4 bolts to remove the seat just be careful with the connectors underneath especially if there is an airbag. Pull the carpet back to gain access to the connector. The most difficult part is getting enough leverage underneath the car to break the sensor loose.
  5. You probably won't get many replies to this question here. Look for or google shops in your area that work on Japanese vehicles and any competent tech that has access to the factory service manual or an alldata subscription should be sufficient. I will say that it's hard to find an good mechanic who is also a straight shooter.

  9. If you are going to change the fluid and filter I would just change that filter so you don't have to pay to remove the transmission pan twice if the code is still there. Check out this thread it's a GS but uses the same tranny.   10. Do you have a particular question about the code? That's a camshaft position sensor code.
  11. I don't know of any specific models the read airbag codes but autozone reads the codes for free so i would try them first and see what they say. Techstream can read all the ECU codes in the car if you can manage to get it running on a laptop.

  13. If it's the speed sensor that's a known issue that Lexus put a TSB out for years ago. I was able to get a new ECU for free in 2014.
  14. The motor should not have anything to do with the light.
  15. As old as these cars are you are going to have some creaks and rattles.

  18. Check the AC for codes, One of the servos that control the doors might be bad.

  20. You need to provide a better pic with surrounding parts in the area to give us some context so we can better assist you,
  21. Maybe the transmission mount is worn out or the plate that connects the shift knob to the transmission is loose.
  22. Running the car out of fuel will wear out the pump whether intentional or not. The gas helps to keep the pump cool and when there's no gas the pump can overheat. The car is 25 years old and if it's on the original pump it might be due for a change. Changing the pump is not that hard. you just have to pop up the bottom rear seat cushion by pulling up hard on each end and it snaps out. Then take off the bottom bolts to the seat back. there are also hidden bolts behind the headrests that are covered by flaps then you have access to the gas tank. the pump itself is not that expensive.
  23. If the cats are glowing then they are working overtime to burn the unburnt fuel. The misfires are probably the culprit sending too much unburnt fuel into the cats.
  24. You could still have a stored code.
