I didn't think that chrome handle was stock, But I did find that there was a handle option. Thanx for clearing things up.

I don't have to jack up either of my cars to change the oil or tranny. But when I do jack it up I use a floor jack and jack stands and don't forget to chock the wheels and put the emergency brake on.

#1 it is the lift handle not the close handle and if it is just stuck on with tape it is junk, JDM has a total replacement handle that is chrome throughout and actually bolts on. That would be the only option and it only looks good on black and white on a GS in my opinion. ← Yeah, double sided tape might keep it on the car, but wouldn't be there long for opening and closing. ← When you look at the stick on products up close they all look cheap, If you can't replace the part with chrome JDM then it looks like "GHETTO" wannabe's, el cheapo. The mark levinson would fit but you have to switch everything including the speakers. Nakamichi is analog and you have a digital pioneer. So it is possible to upgrade to ML.

Am I understanding you right, You want to upgrade your current pioneer system to a nak system? Or are you looking for parts? What is the dealers name?

Sounds like it could be a wire that is being stretched when the hatch is closed, Check all the wiring back as far as you can to see if there is a wear spot on one of the wires, Also check to see if all the wires that go into the connectors are tight. Double check everything closely. Hope this helps
