  1. It is usually mechanical [ the antena ] or the radio band to antenna wiring may be disconnected.
  2. It is usually mechanical [ the antena ] or the radio band to antenna wiring may be disconnected. I have a changer in mint condition if you decide to stay with OEM. Snowman, Where in minnesota are you located? We could be neighbors. ← I just thought about this....what does the antenna have anything to do with the way my cds are played? ← My bad, I was thinking of another post.
  3. If it is the display screen on your radio/headunit I have them with install instructions.
  4. Radiation fog usually only occurs in high pressure, low wind areas and you are right it is caused by the cooling of the ground which causes it to appear like its on the ground but its still not. Nice try though. And as for the rest at water vapors dewpoint droplets form INSIDE the vapor not out of the vapor hence the water droplets surrounded by water vapor or FOG is the GASEOUS form of water. You must understand that the water droplets inside the vapor are what allow u to see this gaseous form. Without the vapor u would have no droplets and no fog so stop taping bill nye the science guy and trying to prove me wrong. Lets find a new topic here. ← You can't see water vapor. You still don't see the gaseous form of water, you see the condensed droplets, which may be an artifact, but are not the actual gas itself. Gas is gas, droplets is droplets. There's just no bul*BLEEP*ting your way around that. If fog is a gas, then you don't need fog lights. Next thing you know, you'll be trying to tell us that wood smoke is a gas. This thread is moot. ← bartkat, I didn't know that you worked in a burger stand??? And on that note , What is wrong with flipping burgers? I hope that wasn'y said to be demeaning. Now the topic is changed, Highjacked Blah Blah back forth, Blah Blah back forth, etc... ← i agree enough is enough ← Took long enough to figure that out. :D Now I guess it's back to studying fauna and flora. Then go down to the parts store and ask for a set of "water vapor lights". ← bartkat, I found a supplier for the water vapor lights, Let's see hmmmmm I think I found it Here it is

We could be neighbors. ← You may have a good point about the antenna. When i bought the car about 2 weeks ago, the antenna was being held on by a hair because the lady driving this car went through the carwash with it up.....idiot. And when i tried to figure out whats up with the antenna, i broke it off. Then when i tried to get the antenna to retract, it did the opposite and spit the majority of the white plastic cord and the antenna was dangaling half way to the ground. So i just cut the whole thing off. Good news tho, i have one coming in the mail. I'm from maple grove, NW part of the twin cities....where u from?? ← Blaine area.

There is perhaps something wrong with being new on a web message board and trying to prove one is a boy genius. Besides, who would try to drive at night with headlights painted blue to look like 12,000 K but not putting out enough lumens to see a toad in the road? + = ←

  9. Your laser is slightly out of alignment that is why the changer is throwing the ERR message. If you are using bargain [el cheapo ] cdrw's that sometimes causes the same ERR message. Try buying cd's that are made for burning music.
  10. jarcara, Are you still looking for nav? Post your email please ← Thanks for the query dcfish. I asked my wife about it (she drives it) and she wasn't interested in doing it. Thanks ← No prob.
  11. I don't mind people posting suggestions. What I mind is Toysrme's ignoring the risks involved when he posts all his suggestions. Then, when someone points out cases where his suggestions have caused damage to the car, he waves it away and says that they don't know what they're talking about. Readers need to know that changing the car to do things it wasn't designed to do carries risks. ← The way I see it is if the MFG. engineered the automobile with adjustments, Then the adjustments should be taken advantage of , After all the MFG. sets everything very moderate , So if you want to readjust the settings so the car runs and performs optimally for the owner then so be it. MFG'S get you in the ballpark If you want to hit a home run, More power to you. [A fitting analogy ] My 2 cents. ← That's a silly argument. There are all sorts of adjustments in the car and they're designed to be set properly. When you change them, you're no longer in spec. For example, your car has adjustments for toe, camber, and caster. They're designed to be set within the design range. Just because you CAN move them to the extremes doesn't mean that you won't wear out tires by doing so. ← Apples and oranges in that comparison, The discussion is about the transmission kickdown cable not suspension adjustments. It is like saying that I shouldn't adjust my radio from the default settings from the factory. :whistles:

  13. OEM DVD/CD changers are available for your LEX They are expensive $1000.00. I have 1 of them. And they are very very rare. Sorry the dvd changer is sold. But I do have the factory rear entertainment system single disc dvd player that allows you to watch movies on front screen. ← ← ELEX470, Check your email. I have one left. ← DCFISH DO YOU STILL HAVE DVD PLAYER IF SO, HOW MUCH? ← You'll have to post your email, You are new and have to have 20 posts to PM or EMAIL. Yes I do have them.
  14. es300lee, If you want a OEM replacement changer I have one.
  15. Without notice you won't even get in my place, And without notice you won't leave. If your caught touching my ride without permission, You won't be able to pick up a pencil for a long time. And don't ever let me catch you stealing from me, You can imagine what happens. Just had to vent after reading about theft.
  16. seancorner, It is advisable to do a thourough search of these forums before posting a topic that could have been answered by searching, Be patient and someone with knowlege on the subject will chime in. Everyone should learn how to use these boards, Browse around and read alot, There is a test forum if you want to try something that you are not sure of. Happy posting I am sure you will find any/all the info you need here. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showforum=26 Welcome to the club
  17. What is the proper way to adjust the TPS?
  18. No, I simply quoted the person who had a problem. I guess you know more about his problem than he does. BTW, how much does Seafoam pay you for this? ← jragosta, No reason to get sideways on this topic, Comments like that get people banned because they start arguments, Which I am sure will end here and the thread will continue in a mature fashion. Thanx for your understanding.
  19. sergio7500, If you find out you need a computer Contact me, I probably have one.
  20. Sounds like the cd player. If the car had a cell phone it may be installed and the mute got turned on somehow. The mute was in the changer in the early 90s. ← Actually the car does have a cell phone built in to the center consol area and there is a small toggle switch by the steering wheel. I wonder if i hit something and didn't realize it. I am not even sure if the phone works or not. ← Check into that it is probably the culprit. ← Just checked. Don't think it is the problem. The radio will be playing and when push the CD button nothing happens. Probably just a bad deck? If it is, it doesn't look like the radio deck will come out very easily. ← Removing the headunit isn't that difficult, Have the changer tested at a reputable shop, If you need a headunit or changer I have both.
  21. Which ones are fluid filled? ← The $100.00+ mounts.
  22. I don't beleive for a second that seafoam caused a bearing to seize to the crank. So as far as I am concerned that link has nothing to do with this thread except that seafoam was mentioned. There was obviously a problem before the seafoam was added. ← That may be true. However, lots of people have given lots of reasons why using Seafoam might be a bad idea. The car manufacturers do not recommend it based on their tests and may void the warranty if you use it. This person used it and seized a crank. You can believe there's no correlation if you wish, but those things are enough that I think it's pretty silly to use the stuff. ← Considering the pressure/friction that it takes to cause a BEARING to be seized to a crank is something that has been adding up over time, Not within 11 miles of driving the car, Explain why you think the seafoam made the bearing sieze? At least it makes for good discussion Maybe Toysrme will chime in and give us a better explanation as to why a bearing would sieze, He always has a great depth of info to share. :D
  23. OK, Is there a actual filter? Or is there just the screen ? ← I just got off of the horn with LEXUS of WAYZATA service mgr. There is only a screen NO FILTER.
  24. OK, Is there a actual filter? Or is there just the screen ?
