    OEM DVD/CD changers are available for your LEX They are expensive $1000.00. I have 1 of them. And they are very very rare. Sorry the dvd changer is sold. But I do have the factory rear entertainment system single disc dvd player that allows you to watch movies on front screen. ← ← ELEX470, Check your email. I have one left.

    OK, All is good but I still don't understand why the topic is " what sounds good in your ls" I saw the topic and thought there was supposed to be a specific type of music that sounds better than other types of music, Like the LS was built around a certain type of sound or something along those lines. Never take offense of my posts, I never mean to be offensive "NEVER" Maybe " What music sounds best to you in your LS?" Everything is KEWL!!!

    Did the previous owner start a nav install then did not complete it? Because what you have [ I think you have a control screen not a nav screen ], Everyone thinks that they are nav screens but they are not. If you are looking to install nav in your RX I have a full system for you. ;)

    But 2003 was the last year they provided an updated hard drive. ← SW, True, 03 was the last update for the HD and that update has canada on it ← I can only imagine that the reliability of HD's vs. a removable disc. and the fact that a HD will hold all the info that it takes to map the world and then some. And lastly the dealer get's you by the gonads so you have to bring your car to them for any updates. And you can't sell that on ebay. YET!!!

    You need to get the 2003 version Hard drive. ← LEXUS hasn't used a harddrive in the USA since 2000. Although in Japan they are starting to use them again.

    mikek753, Although the oil valve drain is a good concept you really have to watch out for road debris damaging the valve, It could be damaged while you are driving and oil will be leaking out when you are driving and you wouldn't know it.

    The work goes on, UCF21_Celsior, Are you looking for a larger screen? Or the newest canadian map for your present system? If the screen has french chioce there is canada on it. The 2003 dvd update has canada for sure.

    You need to get the 2003 version Hard drive. ← OK, Here it is, A 01 LS430 dvd based computer operating on a 99 LS400 nav headunit. I know it is not the GS dvd computer but what is the difference? The dvd computer is updateable. ;)

    What you want to do is replace your current harddrive with a dvd based computer. This project is being worked on as I type, There is no reason at this time to switch your headunit. As soon as [ if it can be done ] the adapter works I will post here.

    What a lame post ← Think about your post, If you knew anything about automobiles you would know that running a small electronic device has nothing to do with MPG unless the person using the devise was 500 lbs. which would effect MPG. Personally I don't think there is a 14 year old kid posting here. Same person playing games on these boards. That is my opinion. I'll never answer any of your ridiculous posts in the future.
