:whistles: No secret that the 2003 Z has had tire probs--Nissan was replacing them FOC to quell the uproar. Anyone with a 2003 sc430 tried to appeal to Lexus Corp for new/replacements for the early wear on these tires??? Any success??

It's not the tires! :chairshot: Lexus has designed the sc 430 with negative camber so that the inner tread wears out. No matter what. I rotated the tires x 3 and had 2 alignments done. I had to get rid of the Dunlop OEM run flats after 17,500 miles. I am told that that O gpt very good mileage but considering that the other 4 treads on each of the tires had approx. 8k miles left, the way I see it is that the alignment design wastes 4/5 of the tire! Anyone out there have a comment?? I know about the bushing replacements kits etc. That really is not the issue. For a $64K+ car to run like crap after only 17,000 miles is not right. Anyone pursue this with Lexus? Did you get any joy???

Thanks. But is the alignment, specifically the negative camber what is ruining the tires? Will the new, standard tires I put on be ruined prematurely also? That is what I need to know.

I have 17500 miles and the inner tread on all 4 tires is gone, as in 2/32 left. The other treads have 8-9/32 left. Possibly another 15000 miles if the alignment had not gone out again. :cries: I have had it aligned 2 times and the tires rotated 3 times. I've done what I should. Is there a problem with camber in this car?? I will have to replace all 4 tires.
