  1. there's a switch on the dash on the left of the steering column, could have switched it on accident detailing the inside?
  2. pop the doorsiles off and unclip the carpet. run the wires along the driver side and when you get to the back it should be easy to run the wires up the side of the back seat and then into the truck behide the seat. all your wires are set. install and have fun.
  3. its under the master brake cylinder on the driver side i'll try to get pic. tomorrow on my day off and i'll post them.
  4. for my LS i found a hole that was already threw the firewall but it wasn't large enough for the 0 gauge wire so what i did was run the wires backwards meaning the end that is suppose to go to the amp goes through the firewall and the other end with the fuse goes in the trunk w/ the amp. pop the doorsiles off and unclip the carpet. run the wires along the driver side and when you get to the back it should be easy to run the wires up the side of the back seat and then into the truck behide the seat. all your wires are set. install and have fun. are you using the factory headunit or an aftermarket?
  5. My dad bought the Lexus brand new in 1992, and now in 2006 it is finally mine. it has 182k miles and still runs great. he offered to buy me a 2000 honda accord for graduation but I op-ed for the LEXUS, cant go wrong with a LEXUS. The car has held up well being over 14years old. No major problems yet, but little nik-nak things. I hope to use the car until i finish college and then purchase a SC430.
  6. I don't believe so. I just ran a satellite antenna to my trunk lid, and I had to fish the line through some tiny centimeter hole near the subwoofer since I didn't see any other ways in. The gas tank is directly behind the back seat, so I don't believe there is any getting in that way. I'd just have the dealer make a new key since they are prime for situations like this one. ;) might be the easiest, cheapest way just alil time and fishing
  7. if you are going to wire a new amp it maybe better to get the postive and negative signals from the factory sub. just disconnect the wires running to the factory sub and connect the wires to your new amp. if you need pictures or more details feel free to PM me. good luck
  8. okay so i found it for myself, but this kit needs some modifiying to fit a double din here s a link http://www.metraonline.com/downloads/pdf/T...INST99-8156.pdf good luck
  9. where can i find a double din kit that will fit my92 LS400? one similar to the picture?
  10. if you want to hook up an aftermarket amp to the factory HU first you need to disconnect the factory sub, your amp should have an input for a signal from the radio, i used a rockford amp that had this connection. using the factory positive and negative wire from the sub connect this to your new amp this way the amp will be receive signal from your factory HU, therefore your Amp should work off the factory signal.
