Hello, My 97 ES300, I used Castrol 5W30 Synthetic Blend from day One. Due to rear main seal leak I am thinking to try Castrol High mileage 10W40. What you guys think, is it a good idea? My car has only 357,400. Thanks in advance.

hope you saved first replaced oxygen sensor, Bank 1 and bank 2 are same. now replaced as george say by firewall.

When I do my 90,000 miles service on my 97 ES300, I replace TB and WP and following items: Cam seals, Crank shaft seal Spark plug seal, Spark plug, Wires if needed. (My 02 camry don't have SP wires) Intake Gasket Both valve cover Gasket Coolant hose (between Two valve cover) Please use Toyota parts. Then, Car will be ready for another 100,000. Hope that helps.

it's about time for timing belt. i would change all seals,(Crankshaft, cam, WP and both valve cover) what about PS fluid? if it 's not dropping level, you are loosing Engine oil from one of the seal. Hope that helps. or, clean engine very well, add die to engine oil and research..... Hope that helps.

Location of MAF showing by arrow. Bt Pressing tab, disconnect the connector, and use 10MM to open MAF, also open air filter box to raise the MAF (otherwise other connector in the way to take out), use ONLY MAF Cleaner. spay cleaner inside, let it dry off and install back. Hope that helps. I will try 93 octane.

Last evening i opened Mass Air Flow Meter and cleaned with MAF cleaner. Acceleration is better. should i mess with EGR? will help ? Thanks,

what is code? (Go to autozone or orailly to get free code) Transmission fluid dipstick location in front between radiator and block close to air filter. Once car is right temp. while is running u pulled dipstick and check. it's red color fluid and light so you can tell very easily that is leaking. Oil light is for engine oil . please check you engine oil level while is off atleast for 5 minits. I am sure somebody will help on knock sensor. We have a very good experience group.

Interstate, Installed on Jan. 2006

My mechanic mentioned that he checked the alternator for A/C power. No A/C was detected. He suggested to change the battery. After I replaced the battery (from o'reilly), we checked the alternator again. Now, "Good diodes". I told him about yesterday. He agreed and said that a bad battery can create that message. I bought an 84 months with 36 months free replacement battery. Again, thank you for your help. You are a good help for all of us.

New Battery and everything is back to normal Thank you.

When i put key in ignition, Battery light shows on dash board. I will let my mechanic check. Orailly attached scanner on battery while car is on and i saw on scanner,"bad diodes" message. Thanks,

First get second opinion, look in to rebuilt or used. $3800 that's lot of money. Sorry to hear bad news. car stalls in drive? or only in reverse?

This is what i did in mine 97 ES300. Should be the same. (Please review picture) A. by using flat screw driver pop the plate without damaging. B. Two bolt will be under ashtray. remove and whole ashtray will be out. then you will able to see connector for cig. lighter and light. Hope that helps.

Thanks, Let me ask one more question for Sienna. same 1MZFE Engine. When minivan is cold no problem. after comes to operating temp., if you stop on stop light or sign and if you move your steering wheels to right at some vibration you feel on steering wheel. nothing happen on left turing. any idea? minivan has 140K.
