  1. Good for you Thomas and you Denny. Lord knows we need teachers that teach kids what they need for real life. Banking, finances, home buying etc. Too many kids come from broken homes and whichever parent is raising them is working so hard they don't have a lot of teaching time. We need to re-think our educational system.
  2. AMEN!!!!!!!! I get so sick of being treated like I'm an idiot when I have drag racing trophies older than they are. I went with a friend to a Mercedes dealership because she didn't know anything about cars. When the salesman tried to explain the cross drilled rotors as the little round things that stop the car have holes to keep them cool, I jumped all over him and told him that my Z28 had cross drilled rotors and I was quite aware of their purpose and please don't talk to me like I'm an idiot. I blame the school system for not teaching the basic operations of a vehicle. With so many people living in apartments now, a vehicle is probably their biggest investment. There should be some knowledge of it.
  3. You know what I do when bees buzz my car? (Don't laugh). I blast my radio in hopes that the noise will scare them away. If you heard some of the music I listen to you would understand.
  4. WOW!!!!! Good thing it was covered. I have had some kind of sunroof in almost every car I have owned. I have never heard of this.
  5. Oh I love open.....except when bees come around. Eek! It will be 77 here today. Top WILL be down.
  6. Hi and welcome. The price is awesome......fit? I don't know. I would ask someone at a dealership. Post a before and after pic if you get them.
  7. I still say that T-Tops were the best ever. When out....almost a convertible, when in....a glass roof. Perfect. I could get mine in and out in about 20 seconds. I did it in a left hand turn lane once in my younger more show-off days.
  8. My only other one was my S2000. As much as I loved it, I'll never own a rag top again. I like having more than a piece of fabric over my head. Also, they get so faded and yucky after a while. I treated my S2000 with a product called Ragg Topp. It was a lot of trouble, but made the top repel water like wax does to paint.
  9. Hootie? I'll leave that delicacy to you.
  10. My car doesn't have a sunroof. Teeheehee!!!! You know where I really miss a sunroof? I used to always look up to make sure that my garage door had gone all the way up before I would back out. Now I have to glance out my window. I'm anal like that.
  11. Nice cars and great pics!! I love people that name their cars. I started naming my mom's cars when I was a little girl and I still do. Keep up the great work.
  12. Look for one and see if you don't agree.
  13. Have you seen one with the roof opened?
  14. Thanks Steve. Not bad for 17 years old. 99% original except for my modifications.
  15. I saw one yesterday and they had the sunroof open. Instead of sliding between the roof of the car and the headliner, the whole sunroof just sits on top of the roof. Yuck!!!! Looked like a Cavalier or comparable with it sitting up there like that. Shame on you Lexus!
  16. My Camaro was teal, very popular in the ''90s. I got more compliments on it. It was such a pretty car. Gosh I miss it. It is so pretty here today I was hoping I could catch a glimpse of it. I usually see it about twice a year.
  17. That is why I have always said it is more fun to drive a slow car than a fast one. I can cut up in Lexie and nobody pays any attention to me. When I would cut up in my Z28 with the Borla exhaust, the whole world knew when I was. It always tickled me how guys in other hot rods would pull up behind me at a light instead of next to me. They didn't want to get roasted by an old lady. Teeheehee
  18. Was it a Firebird or a Thunderbird. Teeheehee...
  19. I often wondered as light as the car was and as fast as we were going if the car would have flipped if I had hit him with a tire. All in all, I think the good Lord was watching after us that night. The first day I got that car David and I took it to the casinos and of course I drove. He got out and looked at me and said, I'll never ride in that car again.
  20. I tell you what my radio does that is strange. It will just shut off for no reason, but only when I'm playing my iPod through the USB. Sometimes I wonder if it's my iPod, but that doesn't make much sense either.
  21. The other day we were talking about road kill stories. I just remembered this one, and I thought you might enjoy it. I don't know if any of you have ever been in an S2000, but they are tiny and very low to the ground. My daughter and I lit out in mine one day to go visit my sister in Florida. Normally a 12 hour trip, but thanks to an accident in Birmingham and a rain storm that I had to pull over and wait out....it took us 14. It was a beautiful day when we left so we had the top down. I told Allison that we couldn't go the whole way with it down so we pulled over and put it up and I promised we would put it back down about an hour from Sissy's house. Well, thanks to the delays, it was pitch dark on the last stretch of road and bugs were splatting on the windshield leaving splats about 4 inches in diameter. Needless to say, we both agreed to leave the top up! I was tooling around 80. I was tired and ready to get out of that car. All of a sudden, a darned armadillo ran out in front of us. I couldn't do anything but just aim to straddle the thing. It sounded like someone was under my car hitting it with a sledge hammer!!!! Allison was screaming at me that I had killed an armadillo and I was panicking checking my gauges making sure the stupid thing hadn't damaged my oil filter or pan. I mean we were literally in swamp land. I told Sissy where we were when it happened and she informed me that there is no cell service there. If that car had been disabled I can just only imagine the creatures we would have confronted. Eew! I never took a road trip in that car again.
  22. Hmmmmmmmm, that is a strange one. The only time I have any issues with volume is when I'm playing my phone via Bluetooth and the phone is at in incorrect volume.
  23. Yup. Like when I first bought my car, I looked up a bunch of articles on it. So much negativity....SHEESH! I couldn't love it any more.
