HEY!!!!!!!!!! In all honesty, they did some photoshopping. Look how we are both backed up to the curb, but how much closer to the building the Mustang looks. You can't get any closer to the building. Also, that is a public welcome center. I'm at an angle like that because people were parked on the side and walking up the walkway. I think they photographed the building, then the car and positioned the image of the car onto the image of the building. My pic was taken with an iPhone. :-)

You guys probably never heard of that. I'm not a huge People magazine fan, but they have a picture of 2 different stars in the same outfit and people will vote on who wore it the best. Imagine my shock when my Husband received a new Ford pamphlet today and the Mustang picture was taken in front of the same building where I had taken a pic of my car. In fact, that pic is my screensaver on my computer and my iPad. I guess I'm not the only person that thought it was a cool building. Now.....who wore it better?!?!?

I have an appointment at the body shop for 8/10 to have the whole quarter panel repainted. I paid the Lexus dealership $82 to touch it up and it looks like a 2 year old fixed it with a white crayon. Idiots! If they couldn't fix it, they should have just told me that. It looks worse than it did.

iPhone is better for the technally challenged like myself. Very easy to use and figure out. As long as I can take pics, videos, text, search the web, and play my music....I'm happy. Oh yeah, I can make phone calls on it too. Teeheehee.

Go to any classic car show. There are tons of Chevys and Fords......very few MoPars.

I have a friend that is a Pontiac enthusiast. Since he has no wife or children, he can afford to have a whole stable of vehicles. He has some really nice Trans Ams and Grand Prix etc. Since there is no more Pontiac, He just purchased an SRT Charger. He sent me pictures. It is a beautiful beast. The break in requirements are really quite humorous. I didn't ask him how much he paid because I consider that rude, but I imagine it was a wad. He special ordered it. I about bet you that in 2 years it won't be worth half what he paid for it. He usually just keeps his cars and adds to his stable. I guess depreciation doesn't matter to him. He also has plenty of back up vehicles to use while the Chrysler is in the shop.

It's been kind of slow around here so I thought I would share a funny thought I had today. I know you have all heard on the news about the problem Chrysler is having with the vulnerability of their vehicles being hacked and the engine could remotely be turned off! That reminded me of a Beach Boys lyric. Maybe Chrysler could use it in their advertising. "Shut it off, shut it off...buddy now I shut you down"!

Hi, and welcome to LOC. Please fill me in as to what Apple CarPlay is? I just listen to Pandora or my music on my iTunes. As much as I love music, I wouldn't let it be a deciding factor of what car I drove. I still think my Music Box in my Infiniti was the best thing ever, but it didn't stop me from getting rid of the car.

I was thinking the same thing LexBob, but I really don't see the harm in downshifting, especially if you have paddle shifters. I don't see where it would be any difference in downshifting for a hill or a tight curve. I have the same situation on a piece of road I travel almost daily. It is a long slight decline in a 40 mph speed trap. I used to ride my brake all the way down till I figured that a ticket was probably a lot cheaper than a brake job.

Hi James. Welcome to LOC Not sure why you are using a polisher on a new car....did you get some scratches? Have you ever used Zaino products? They are the finest by far to me. Check out their website. I'm sure they have a swirl remover that would help you.

You do know that if you touch or click on the pictures that they will get full sized don't you? My 60 year old eyes can see it fine once I do that. Let me know if that helps.

A lot of times I will put mine in my cupholder to back up my car to wash it and forget about it for a while. Gee....I live in the auto theft capital of the world and all someone would have to do is get in my car and crank it up. Dummy!!!! Why do you want both fobs with you Denny?

I agree with Paul. I have a premium vehicle. I'm going to use the proper fuel. Once when I was driving my Z28 as a daily driver, I got cheap and put regular in it. I hadn't gone 2 miles before it started sounding like someone was shuffling a deck of cards under the hood. I never got cheap on gas again.

I'm about due for my 25k checkup. I'll see what the dealership recommends. I'm really not excited about them removing my quarter panel. I saw a man walk by my car with a walker one day when I was visiting mom. It could have been him. I would think with a walker it would have been a perfectly straight line since they just roll on the ground. Mother is in the back of the building of a large complex. At the front where she used to be, the spaces are large and pie shaped. I'm just going to start parking there and walking through the building. It is a long walk, but I could always use the exercise!

I started to cry when he said if it was his car he would just leave it alone. Some people just don't understand. You don't drive a beautiful car like that with a foot long scratch on it. I like this shop. They have great reviews.

Thanks guys. You know I usually park way out away from everybody else, but I am having to do a lot of things for my mom now and I'm having to take whatever space is available. I wish I did have a beater car. I have an appointment at a body shop today at 4. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't have to get the whole quarter panel repainted. Remember, center caps are inter-changeable. I did that when I put Trans Am wheels on my Z28. Just because they say Lexus doesn't mean they are. Browse on Tire Rack and see if you can find them.

After 44 years of driving, I was finally lucky enough for some A-hole to key my pretty baby. I just want to cry. I tried my best scratch remover....it is too deep. I have a friend that works at a high end used car lot. I'm going to stop by there today and see if she can recommend someone that might be able to touch it up. I really don't want the whole quarter panel repainted.

I think it is just part of the idiot mentality that is the norm now. They made you look and remember. That is all that is important. BTW, you didn't buy their car so it must not have worked too well.
