  1. The salvage title would bother me. Car looks nice and well cared for.
  2. There are a lot of factors involved that you haven't mentioned, like options. Some Lexus options are very expensive. Remember, the 2014 will be worth less when you trade it in because it will be a year older and be higher mileage. I personally, considering similarly equipped, would take the 2015. Seeing that you live in WA, the AWD might be important to you....in the south I wouldn't need or care for it. I would make them come off the price more. Keep us posted and try to include pics. Either way you go, you will love the car.
  3. Welcome!!!!! Nice ride. Good luck finding just what you want and posts pics as soon as you do. When I first saw my car at the dealership, it was immediately my Facebook pic and screensaver on every device. :-) Is it hard changing from RH drive to LH drive?
  4. I love the white with the dark rims......but of course I would. ;-) Very nice car. I know you are proud of it. Keep it out of those Texas hailstorms!!!!!
  5. That seems really dangerous to me. Was the vehicle leaning? I'm jealous that you are that close to Vegas, but I would probably be bankrupt if I was. It's bad enough being only an hour away from Tunica, MS.
  6. Wow. What skill!!!!! One foot on clutch, one on brake and hitting the gas with the side of his foot! I would love to try that, but I really don't have the nerve and can't afford to tear up tires like that. If that car wants to come live with me, I promise I'll take better care of it. Of course, learning right hand drive might take some getting used to.
  7. Wow! What a sharp looking car. I have to admit that I have never been a fan of the Maxima. I always thought they were kind of over designed. This new model is a winner though.
  8. Oh.....I would be so angry. It is a beautiful car. I sure hope you can make them fix it.

David and I drive to New Orleans about 4 times a year. My shift is the stretch between Jackson, MS and Memphis. I have literally stayed between the same 2 cars for hours. I set my CC just right under 80. If I find a good front door, I'll adjust my CC to their speed. I can keep a constant speed for 30-40 minutes till some €%&¥£$@ blocks up the works. The funny part is that they are usually oblivious to what's going on around them. In my younger, less wrinkled days....I had a '76 Camaro. I played leap frog with an 18 wheeler all the way from Little Rock, AR to Memphis. We honked and waved when we had to take different exits. I have always loved to drive and try to make it as enjoyable as possible.

Amen to that. My husband and I have a name for people that cruise in left lane. I think I don't need to post it here. :-)
  11. Why are all the emblems backwards?

I don't know the answer. Just think, only 2 generations ago people pretty much settled in one area....now families are scattered all over the country and everybody is always traveling here and there. I don't remember my parents traveling much. Now, I drive to FL to see sisters and SC to see daughter. David and I are always going somewhere in his gas guzzling F150. It will probably just get worse. I worked for a parts warehouse and sold auto parts all over the country. It used to tickle me that we would by AC Delco filters from Flint, MI....warehouse them in Memphis, then I would sell them to a parts store in Detroit. The stretch of I40 between here and Little Rock, AR is always bumper to bumper 18 wheelers. Everything in this country travels. I don't see it getting any better.
  13. I had to drive a VERY pregnant woman to her baby shower once. I was a nervous wreck! I think that is the most careful I have ever been. I definitely have a different driving mindset when I have a passenger and when I don't. Nothing wreckless, I love my car too much, just a tad more spirited.
  14. Speaking of my all time favorite car....I saw it yesterday. Took me a while to catch up to it since he has about a 140 hp advantage on me. Still looks great. Joe says he still loves it and waxes it all the time. Damn that car sounds good. I really don't miss it though. Had the top down on Lexie and I'm just pleased as punch with her.
  15. Hope I can make this work. Never copied a link on my iPad before. Awesome video. Needs some heavy metal music though. http://www188.carbuzz.com/news/2015/4/15/Lexus-Choreographed-5-Car-Drift-Is-Like-Ballet-For-Gearheads-7726440/

I saw on the news the other day that they were going to change the words "High fructose corn syrup" to just "Fructose". Most consumers will just think that is a natural sugar from fruit. A-Holes How did we go from fuel to food?!?!?! :-)

Of course I can't blame the product, I can blame consumers for not educating themselves on what they put in their mouth. Who would think that BBQ sauce would have that as a main ingredient. Learn, read, then don't buy it.

Don't we already consume enough corn since almost everything we eat has corn syrup in it? Let the farmers grow something more healthy and let our cars have fossil fuel like they were designed for. We were eating at a famous BBQ place one night and they had put a bottle of their new apple flavor sauce on every table. I just picked it up and looked at the ingredients. The MAIN INGREDIENT was high fructose corn syrup. No wonder America is so fat. It is hidden in everything. Sickening.
  19. I have never really used mine. They are more like cool bling for my steering wheel.
  20. I don't care for all that chrome.
  21. Very tastefully done. That is a beautiful car.
  22. I think it is like everything Lexus is producing now. At first you have the shock factor because it is so radical, but then it starts to grow on you....then you love it. I hated the new IS at first, now I love it. I sure hope Lexus makes it in a convertible some day. It reminds me of me and my 370Z. When I first saw the 370, I thought Nissan was on crack. Then, it started to grow on me. Shortly, I thought it was the sexiest car on the road and I had to have one.
