Also a bad alternator, loose battery ground cable, faulty ignition coil... Spark plugs and wires I would check or change first...Then check the cap and rotors....Lastly the alternator, battery cables and ignition coils...

I don't want to dog out this forum, but 92LEX if you are looking for boosted Lexus's you won't find any on this forum... You need to check out Lextreme.com... It is a small forum but they hit it hard, deep discussions about turbo charging, supercharging, Nitrous application, Mod's only.... It is strickly a high performance Lexus forum, and there are Lexus's on that forum that can roast me big time.... Infact, I am currently on a thread discussion about boost combinations, like turbo charging and supercharging the same motor (1uz-fe).... Also twin turbo charging the Xuz-fe's, and also NOS and supercharging combo's...It's where I learned everything I know about the performance aspect of the these Lexus/Toyota motors... This forum is cool though for everything else....Check it out and post, I am sure a few members would be very impressed with your ride.... :)

Scratches on the inside of the throttle body won't effect anything...As long as the fly opens and closes like it is suppose to... If the scratches are large you may get a little air disruption on the intake, but no biggie... I would not sweat it as long as your car idles properly....

Like I said you will roast me on the back half of the race. I can only spin hard in 1rst and 2nd gears if I want to and almost cherp in third but not quite.... Spinning the tires doesn't mean the car will actually go fast though, you must grip and move for speed... I just slapped some new tires on the rears and honestly forgot the size, I need to go outside and look again...It's the absolute widest tires that will fit in the rear wells of an SC4, it is about 1/8 of an inch from hitting the front fender lip and rear shock... The rims are a custom 10.5 inch width...I will get back to you on the size of my rears... My SC4 is lowered 2" as well..... I get no wheel hop at all when spinning the rears like I use too a few years back...

Hey that's sounds like one fast beemer to me....Good ride you got 92LEX!!!!!!!... I am sure it weighs less then my SC4, so you may need to give me a head start if we raced let's say for a quarter mile... However, I do think I may spank you 0-60mph though...Like I said I got some very fat rear tires that are grippy, a good stall rate torque converter, a good Torsen LSD, and also very good weight transfer at launch. Combined all that with crazy lowend torque, and you have a front end of Lexus that lifts at launch... My first two gears rip under the NOS.... It would be a fun race for sure, but I do think you would clean me on the back half of the race based on what I have read... ;)

Well being that your in Sacramento that could be a little hard.. I live in Santa Monica, California... Besides it sounds like you may take me if your sporting over 500whp and 500 ft pounds of torque.... I will probably hang hopefully 0-60mph, even though my SC is only dishing out a little over 300whp and 475 torque... However, I am running the NOS and have crazy lowend power and decent traction to boot...It would be fun to give it a go, if you ever bring your beast down to LA look me up...I know just the empty street where we could give it a go... I haven't lost a race in a long time, I forgot what it feels like..... ;)

92Lex - Your doing something right if you have a mortgage and fiancee at the age of 24..... You will have that home mortgage almost paid off hopefully before you are my age as long as you are not sold on those crapy interest only home loans...(your better off renting for cheaper). It's great to own your own home when you are in your 50's or even younger... I paid my last mortgage payment 3 years ago and it was the best feeling ever.... The sad thing is I live in Southern CaliMexico..... 92Lex I started traveling when I was 24....The hardest part of traveling the world at that age is being able to find a homey to travel with, the time and money to also get it done.... Spain, been their done that...Romantic yes, but unless you speak fluent Spanish it will be hard to get around and see all that there is to see... Americans are not that welcomed and many locals don't speak English or just don't like to...Barcelona and Madrid was awesome though...Alot of history, museums, amazing architecture, Cathedrals, etc...Much to see and that will be one vacation you and your honey will never forget... I have seen a standard twin turbo Vette run in the high 9's... There center of gravity is very low and the traction is outstanding... A bone stock Z06 ran the quarter mile in 10.85 @ 129mph with drag radials... That's completely stock with tires...Twin turbo that baby and your in the 9's.... It's still would be street legal...Check out any Vette Forum if you don't believe me... The Z07 Vette at stock is even faster then the 10.85 quarter mile time of the Z06...... I am not a huge fan of the Vette's but when I read and saw the Z07 at car show I became a believer... These are a few pic's I took personally of the new bone stock 7.4 liter 650hp Z07 Vette at a resent car show... It was the fastest car 0-60 at the show...0-60mph in a little over 2 seconds if I remember correctly.. 1rst gear goes up to like 70mph and you don't even need to shift...No other car came close, Vipers, Merc AMG's, Ferrari, Porsche (GT4 came close), M model Bmw's, GT500 Fords, etc....

Romance I would have to say go to Venice, Italy..... That however is a very pricey over seas vacation... Keeping it cheap and some what local, Hawaii....I guess... Three dollars
