  3. I don't think you want to blast some punk 18 year olds for searching thru your cars...I don't know if that warrants a gun blast... If they are inside your house in the middle of the night then that may be a different story.... I had experience with gang bangers and drug dealers renting a house across the street from my first home...I actually had a run in with the Leader Mexican gang banger when he came over while I was rehabing my house..One of my workers was a former Mexican gang banger with tats all over his body...The drug dealers and gang bangers from across the street came over trying to start a fight.... I was ready to throw down, but realising it would only escalate things to future attacks, etc..., I talked the situation down, offered them a beer, and told them we are nieghbors and let's try to get along..... It worked out great, and that situation was completely difused.... However, the next day I went out and purchased a new 357 snub nose revolver Smith & Wessen Magnum with hollow tip bullets just incase they tried to come over a start crap again...That never happened...However, I would have blasted them if they did something like that again inside my house... Glad that didn't happen either, I would probably have ended up in jail for man slaughter or something, you never know with todays liberal laws...I was really upset over that situation and felt violated in some way...I was in my mid twenties and didn't know any better.... Today, I would have still bought the gun, but would have got the police involved.....and also the Narcotics division... Needless to say the gang banger drug dealer across the street got shot in the head during a drug transaction and was killed just a few weeks later...The house was yellow taped and vacated...Problem solved.... The neighbor hood quickly cleaned up, my house went from being worth $134,000 (purchase price in 1994) to today it is worth close to a million dollars.... I got lucky..... Anyway, keep your cool bro, lock your car doors, home doors, and arm yourself for "HOME PROTECTION", and I would say try and stay involved with local law enforcement.... Good luck, I know how you are feeling.....

  8. Oh you can push it and not change out the water pump when you do your timing belt, but I will promise you it will go out before your next belt change...In the end it will cost you more money to change out the pump...It's not only preventive maintenance but smart cost effective maintenance too.... It's really a pain to get to those little water pumps...
  9. Pull a plug wire and see if your getting a spark.... If your getting a spark and fuel then you are very close to solving this riddle....
  10. Yeah, I had that same cluck noise when in reverse and then applying the brakes.... I replaced the Lower Control Arms on my SC4 and it corrected that... Not the same as mounts though.. I don't think you deserve a beer for that, maybe a root beer instead...
  11. Daisens..OK.....They have a spongy feel to them when first installed and riding, they mushroom out over time if not lubed continually...They don't have side housing to contain the rubber so the grease does not hold well, and the bushing break down and make noise over time...I think they are complete garbage to be honest.... OEM bushing would be a much better choice in my humble opinion... Changing out your LCA lower bushing will tighten up the suspension feel, improve the steering feel, and basically give you a better ride feel especially if your current bushing are old and toasted... That's about the best I can explain it....
  12. I guess that was pretty easy after all... Laptop ;)
  13. 802.11b.... Let's see you guys word associate that.......and don't say Netgear or D-link either..... ;)
  14. Again Lextreme.com, search and post...Those guys are cool over there and will welcome you and answer all the questions...Lextreme sells most of the turbo parts anyway.... You just need to buy the Garret turbo on Ebay or something.... A good single turbo setup will get the job done for sure......I am thinking of turbo charging my Sc400 any day now myself...... I just didn't want to make my car slower then it is now when riding the NOS.... The Garrett GT35R turbo is a perfect fitting turbo for our 4.0 Liter V8 motors... I have researched all the different sizes and fits.....You will have very little lag and you can boost right up to the stock limits.....
  15. It's not uncommon for the water pump in these Lexus's to go bad around 100-150,000 miles...Infact alot of people just change them out when they change the timing belts....Easy access when changing the timing belts... I have changed both out a few times, it's not a big deal once you remove all the plastic crap that surrounds the motor...
  16. Hey I said tranny mounts too...
  17. Good point, and that is my thinking too...That is why I post on this forum also....
  18. 92LEX - Your sandbagging right now to keep those rears down...Humor!!!! I did that years back and lost a rear tire in the process..... I put 500lbs worth of sand bags in my trunk when I first installed my Nos system, and what happen next? Went for a launch and Snap, snap, snap, snap, snap, booooomm!!!! My stock lug bolts snapped off one by one and then my driver side wheel went flying into someones front yard at about 40mph, my SC4 back end dropped, and then there was the greatest spark show one could imagine as I grinded to a hault....Never tried that again... However, I did grip very well, maybe too well... Gave up on the counter production of sand bagging.... I am suprised the driveshaft or axles did not break first, or the torque converter did not lock up or something....... Anyway no real damage, new brake rotor and spindle and I was back on the road again.... Kavvick, the only prefabbed boost setup I know of is the Eaton Supercharger kits that are made and sold in Australia for like $5000.... It's 100hp supercharger kit that comes with everything.... I think it underpowered for the money, but alot of people go with it anyway.....You can sometimes find them on Ebay, or buy and ship directly from Australia... A custom single GT35r turbo would be your most effecient and cost effective boost setup, but you need to customize your exhaust to house the turbo, reverse custom made headers and V design, Electric fan swap are the hardest parts, the intercooler, ECU, and everything else is a peice of cake.... That little setup will give you 400whp no problem.. My buddy has it going on in his LS400 and it rips...
