  1. Does anyone knwo where are the axle shaft fllange bolts on the is 250? And how many ft-lb or N-m is needed to retorque them? Thanks I think I found it in the service manual, but not sure. It may be the flange where the drive shaft hooks up behind the transmission. I'm taking mine in for 24 months service and plan to have them do the torque thing then. I never had it done on my IS300 and 2 years now not done on the IS350. I think it may just be a precaution for something that maybe got loose in the past. Kinda like checking the torque on your wheel lug nuts.
  2. There's no forum per se. There are a couple of threads in this forum about it. I tried to search but search won't allow 4 characters or less.
  3. Lexus will replace your front brake pads with dustless ones for free. Check the IS350 forms.
  4. A really long straight and step downhill.
  5. I had the JoeZ with a Blitz filter on both IS300 and IS350 and never saw any problems. It uses the stock airbox and air inlet so it doesn't mess things up like short ram intakes with big cone filters that get their air from inside the engine compartment.
  6. The dealer should have a check list of all those options.
  7. Could be a slightly bent wheel or a broken belt on one of the tires. That's a lot of miles for those tires.
  8. The JoeZ setup is the best bang for the buck.
  9. Try the first three steps in this DIY. That should get you to the bulbs easily. http://my.is/forums/f53/install-jdm-black-...-lights-106668/
  10. Open your trunk There are two circular clips that you need to take out so that you can access the screws. Once you get those off. Slightly lift up and it will start comming out. DO NOT PULL DOWNWARD Pull it a little up and to the left for the left housing, or right housing. It should all come off. There will be a big circle that you have to turn. and then you will get access to the light bulb.
  11. SO marquiers wax aint good at all??? is there bad concequences if u do use it or it just doesnt make the car loko nice or anything minor like that? If you use Mequiar's and drive in the rain, your car may totally collapse and fall into a heap right in the middle of the road. :chairshot:
  12. First wash your car with Dawn or similar diswashing detergent to remove any old wax. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...?showtopic=9362
  13. http://techinfo.lexus.com/ There you can pay to download shop manuals, and other tech info. You can subscribe for different terms and rates. 24 hrs access costs $10.00 and you should be able to download everything you need during that time. Any Technical Service Bulletins should also be on this site.
  14. I believe there's something in the owners manual about chains.
  15. Try a search of online salvage yards.
  16. The DRL's are the high beam bulbs running on low power so it may be hard to get a white look. They can be disabled by the dealer though. You can change the parking light bulbs though. http://my.is/forums/f126/just-got-these-pa...-lights-289476/
  17. Here's a DIY for changing the fog light bulbs. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=223728

  19. Glad you got it fixed.
  20. Blown fuse or mechanical problem in that door lock.
  21. Will it lock by pushing the button on the outside door handle? Will it lock with the manual lock? Like lock it sitting in passenger seat and get out the passenger door. Or try to lock it with the steel key from outside.
  22. so i played with it a little more, and i found out that the driverside door is not locking. it makes sense to me now that the light dont flash, and the buzzer doesnt sound because the drivers side door is not locked, and the car is not secure....i dont know what to do...my car is sitting out there in the parking lot unlocked....some one please help While holding the door open, lock the doors with the switch on the driver's armrest. Then close the door. It should stay locked. If you're going to test to see if it's locked, leave the keyfob away from the car so it doesn't unlock automatically.
  23. Not all police agencies report to Carfax. Even if they do it would be some time before it shows up. Depending on how much the damages were, sometimes people have collected "dimished value" from insurance companies.
  24. Take a flashlight and look around inside the trunk. You might be amazed. If all else fails, read your owners manual. :chairshot:
  25. But the dash tray is genuine JDM.
