  1. Hello? Anyone? Bueller? Is there an IS-F forum here? I can't find it
  2. Does this forum have an IS-F discussion area? Thanks
  3. Where is the IS-F forum/discussion? Is there one here? Thanks
  4. BMW offers slightly better handling and steering feel. After that there's no comparison - the Lexus is far superior in interior, build quality, features, value, etc.
  5. Did you ask this question on the BMW boards too? Each board will suggest you go with their favorite vehicle. You sound like you know what's what when it comes to comparing the cars. You decide - it's your car. Enjoy!
  6. You need to find another dealer! Here's why: http://www.lexus.com/models/is/specifications.html
  7. Unless you HAVE to own one of the first off the lot, be patient. There will be plenty more and the prices will be a bit more friendly if you wait.
  8. Nitpicking a Lexus IS apart should make you feel good because it won't bother those in the know about these cars. If you're looking for pure performance, IF you drive your cars hard, then perhaps a BMW 330i loaded will make you happier but if you don't like the price of the Lexus you will not like the BMW's price tag. If you're looking for the best balance of performance, luxury, quality, service (dealership), then look no further, your Lexus IS is available now.
  9. Pay no attention to the trolls here. The IS350 offers incredible performance (better than BMW) at a better price. And considering Lexus quality, there's very little to even compare to. If you don't like it, don't buy it. That'll leave one more IS for others to enjoy.
  10. Lexus is a division of Toyota. Toyota and Honda are the two best auto manufacturers in the world. They don't have issues with first year models anymore. Of course the gotta-have-its will pay more to be one of the first to drive the new models. Of course the price will come down a little bit but it could take a full year (there's no way anyone should pay over window sticker for a car). Paddle shifters are fun at first but not very practical when driving at all aggressively since the paddles can be tough to "find" when the wheel is turned. You'll give up on the paddles after a short while. Sure would be nice if the 350 came with a 6-speed!
  11. Fuggedabout about the ML and go listen to the stock stereo. Sure the ML sounds better but it only has 1 more speaker than the much better than before stock system. If you gotta have it looks like you'll be waiting. Oh well, more for everyone else.
  12. There's no comparison between MBenz and Lexus in terms of quality, reliability and interior comfort. Lexus wins hands down. Run, don't walk to the Lexus dealer and buy the new Lex. You'll wish you did it years ago.
  13. $46,000 puts it too close to the GS. Check this out: http://www.thecarconnection.com/Vehicle_Re...S184.A8929.html
  14. Hurry up and sell it. The new IS350 is coming out and it will have an impact on the price you can sell your car for. In addition, those who already know about the new Lex either won't be interested in yours or will offer you less money for it. Good luck.
  15. There has been a lot of speculation about the direction of the all-new 2006 Lexus IS. Some rumors have hinted that the new IS will be a true performance sedan. Others have guessed that the IS will feature more technological innovations. And there are those who believe the IS will focus on adding more luxurious amenities and a bold new style, making luxury and design a priority. Because you've asked to be updated on the new IS, you're among the first to know that all of these predictions are correct. The new 2006 IS will be the definitive performance car with groundbreaking automotive technology, a stunning new design and luxury features never before seen in its class. Although the IS won't arrive until this fall, you just might need this time to prepare yourself to be swept away. The new IS makes its racing ancestry proud with four powerful models to choose from: the IS 350 six-speed paddle-shift sequential automatic and the IS 250 manual, automatic and all-wheel drive. The IS 350 boasts a 3.5-liter V6 engine, fueled by more than 300 hp and more than 275 lb-ft of torque. It will allow you to experience the thrill of launching from 0 to 60 mph in under six seconds. The IS 250 features an energetic 2.5-liter engine that packs over 200 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. But acceleration is just the beginning of your thrill ride. Forget your morning coffee–you'll be energized just by the way the IS expertly navigates every hairpin turn of the road. Its innovative suspension system is designed to optimize wheel alignment and provide precise handling. Driving enthusiasts will also appreciate the all-new front and rear suspension. There's always something tantalizing about a new car's aroma. But that's nothing compared to the delight of experiencing a new technological innovation. A standard SmartAccess keyless entry system activates sequential lighting to illuminate your way. Once you're settled, the innovative Push-Button Start/Stop allows you to turn on the ignition with the touch of a fingertip. When the IS engine ignites, the console's electroluminescent gauges flash across the instrument panel with a "light saber" effect. The IS will intrigue you with other available features that include a voice-activated DVD navigation system [1] with backup camera and Bluetooth® technology [2], Tire Pressure Monitor System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and many other features that are typically found in only the most expensive luxury cars. For those who believe it's what's on the inside that counts, the new IS will surpass your expectations. You may find yourself looking forward to traffic, when you get to be pampered, relaxed and entertained by the luxurious amenities in all four IS models. A breathtaking drive will be accompanied by an equally inspiring soundtrack, courtesy of a standard 13-speaker sound system that's MP3 and iPod® compatible. The sound system can also be set up for satellite radio [3]. Audiophiles can opt for the available Mark Levinson® Premium Surround Sound System [4], exclusively designed for the acoustics of the Lexus cabin. You can admit it–you want a gorgeous car. The bold look of the redesigned IS will be love at first sight. With its sleek and aerodynamic new lines, the IS delivers. It's the next Lexus model to feature the new L-Finesse design direction, exemplifying simplicity and elegance. The exterior's muscular stance, combined with other refined style elements, makes the new IS appear both sporty and sophisticated. With a car this stunning, you'll take every precaution to keep your IS from getting even the slightest scratch. You'll be relieved to know that the IS is designed to show you the same amount of attention. That's why all IS models are equipped with a total of eight airbags, including knee airbags for the driver and front passenger, plus a new front passenger airbag. The IS possesses such intelligence, it can even help to predict an accident before it happens. The available Pre-Collision System (PCS) [5] uses radar to detect potential obstacles, while sensors determine if a crash is unavoidable. If so, the seatbelts and brakes are adjusted to optimize safety.
