  1. Drive the Prius whether you like it or not. -- Al Gore
  2. The sensors stay in the wheels. If you don't have an alarm then they are ok.
  3. There's probably air in your cooling system. The noise is probably air going through the heater core. Here's how to fix that. http://my.is/forums/f93/werid-squirting-noise-350200/
  4. Hadn't seen that trick before.
  5. Run each window copletely down and back up from its own control and then the drivers switch should work them all. It's a reset that has to be done when the battery has been disconnected.
  6. The click is normal. It comes from the floating calipers on the front brakes. The oil drain is on the bottom of the oil pan as you would expect. If you turn your wheels and look under the motor you can see it. Look down on the left side of the motor and you can easily see the filter. I pay $29 for an oil change and I supply the filter, they supply the oil. Oh and it's Flitz, not Fitz. http://www.autogeek.net/flitz-headlight---...ration-kit.html
  7. Some kinds of car wax smell "fruity" or maybe an air freshener attracts bugs? Possibly the light colored cars reflect lights and attract bugs like the porch light?
  8. If you don't have a manual there's one pinned at the top of this forum. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=26434
  9. I think it depends on where you live and if it's a bug mating area.
  10. There are vaious plastic polishing compounds you can use to clear that up. Mequiar's makes one that's usually available at auto parts stores. If that's not strong enough you can use an extra fine rubbing compound. Some people use like 1000 grit abrasive, and then polish after that. I've never had to go so far as using the abrasive paper though. I used Turtle mild rubbing compound on an old Nissan and that cleaned them up real well on the first try.
  11. You can unplug the DRL's.
  12. This should work. How to remove the head unit. (center dash) Make sure to put tape around the area before removing anything. http://my.is/forums/2997488-post18.html
  13. He may have been serious but he didn't know much about cars.
  14. How do you guys maintain black? I always keep my cars clean, but black seems like a lot more work, especially in Illinois with snow, ice, salt, and lots of rain. What's your second choice after black? Lighter colors are going to get/show stains worse. I don't particularly like the two or three color tone interior you get with the light colors. With black you just have black and gray. The only maintenance I see is that black shows lint and leaf particles in the carpet more, but once a week with the little shop vac and that's taken care of. For the leather, a cleaning and conditioning with Lexol keeps it looking nice and matte finished and soft.
  15. Here's one way: http://my.is/forums/f53/how-stand-alone-fo...hts-mod-106666/
  16. The wires won't move to the side enough? Can't you undo the white connector for the green and white wires?
  17. is it the same color as the lexus wheel? They have a graphite color. Maybe they have it at Walmart or another store where you can look at the lid and see if it's a good match.

  19. Scroll down to 4-3 near the bottom of this PDF. The wire stays attached to the socket. Just turn the socket counterclockwise and pull it back. Then you can change the bulb. downloadOwnersManual.do.pdf
  20. AutoAnything http://www.autoanything.com/car-bras/73A38...A0A2599819.aspx Colgan http://www.colgancustom.com/shop_vparts.php#1 I've had Colgans before and they are good and cheaper than the Lexus ones. There's a choice of styles here.
  21. If you mean the strips on the body near the bottom by the wheel openings, they're stone protection. Leave them on.
  22. Sounds good. Great low mileage.
