  1. That sounds way high, even at your age. Besides, have heard some bad reports about Progressive's claim handling. Try Allstate or some company that has a local agent you can talk with and decide what coverage you really need.
  2. I disagree.
  3. I lived in the snow belt for 15 years, and the only two cars that I ever totally spun out were FWD.
  4. My hubs still looked silver gray with the Rust Bullet after over a year. No flaking or anything. I had also used it on some under car parts, axles, etc. and they stil looked good too.
  5. Nope. Halogen projectors are standard. That's what came on mine.
  6. Cool! Congrats to bro.
  7. Just go to this site, register your email and VIN and you can access the owners manual, and many other items pertinent to your new Lexus. I have, personally found this quite valuable, and it gives you the info straight from Lexus, and not some bull*BLEEP*ter on a message board. https://auth.owners.lexus.com/lexusowners/a...2fssl%2fWelcome

    New Car

Even if you hit the right buttons, there's a good chance it doesn't work. :(
  9. or STATIC for that matter. :chairshot: sj ← I wasn't static. Was cruising along at about 75 MPH.
  10. It does, but it's part of some of the option packages. None of those packages seem to be listed for your area on the Lexus site right now. http://www.lexus.com/lexusConfigApp/pub/se...!-682643962
  11. As I understand it, the district people got together and decided what options they would have on the first shipments. Surely someone ought to be able to put you in for the options you want and get a car delivered when the proper car is made.
  12. Just make a sticky FAQ.
  13. There's also a new IS dedicated site with several IS 350 owners here: http://www.is350forums.com/index.php?
  14. My radio works fine. It gets better reception than the one on the IS300 did, especially here in the mountains. I was able to stay on the same station listening to Rush Limbaugh for almost 3 hours traveling though northen Tenn and Ky a few weeks ago.
  15. I already said it. About the "regional nationalists" and crap like that. Has no business on a car board or thread. If the dude needs to vent his political views, then he should be doing it somewhere else. I'm just plain tired of some of those repeated little innuendos from such elitists.
  16. It's really hard to tell what Monarch is talking about half the time. He's all over the map with his insults. *BLEEP* him. I'm outa here. You may keep the balance of my gold membership fee.
  17. Nothing wrong with trying to mod or personlaize a car a little to ones tastes. If the definition of boring is reliable and uneventful, then yes, overall Toyota products are on the boring side. I think that's a plus. However, a little customizing isn't going to make the car less reliable. I'm an old, southern, jingoistic, nationalistic, US military veteran and I drive a Lexus IS350. I don't plan to use anything but OEM parts, filters, and stuff on this car, as it is close to perfection as it came out of the box. How you can try to bring politics into a discussion of filters, is way beyond my comprehension. If what you said is true, then there would not be any of "those people", drving Toyota/Lexus products and posting here in the first place, so who the hell do you think you are preaching to? :(
  18. The trac off button will let you spin your wheels. The snow button reduces engine power to help prevent wheel spin when accelerating. Most people in snowy areas use either good all season tires or dedicated snow tires. The cars do ok with that setup.
  19. Cool What cars to they build in Indiana?
  20. That's pretty low. It ought to be close to $12,000 wholesale.
  21. I'm just glad you're up there in the snow county instead of me. :D :D
  22. It's your call but Replace engine coolant, Replace Brake fluid, are very important. The A/C and air filters you can do yourself, get the Toyota/Lexus parts online. I went over all this with my trusted independent guy and he explained why. He did those two items plus inspection for less than $100. I get my oil changes at an indpendent oil change place using Toyota filters for about $30 a change.
  23. The brake fluid should be changed. But you could get the Toyota fluid and have an independent do it much cheaper.
  24. Welcome to the club, Chuckles. Yeah, post up some pics. Hope you get your permit soon.
