  1. Aren't those miracle coatings supposed to come with like a 5 year gurantee? The dealer that sold it to you ought to honor a warranty.
  2. Mine still looked good after 11 months, when I traded the car. I had used "must for rust" before the "rust bullet" though and I had used G2 on the calipers.
  3. It's most likely going to be easier and cheaper to install an aftermarket HID kit.
  4. SK only mentioned the seller in question and his AKA's. There are no blanket condemnations of Ebay sellers in general. Perhaps you should read the first post again.
  5. I got a Altezza exhaust on Ebay for $1 but the shipping was over $20. :(
  6. A problem with a rear wheel will usually be felt through the floor or the seats. Moving the swapping the front and rear wheels on the side where the vibration is ought to tell you. See if the vibration moves. I've had two vehicles with out of balance drive shafts from the factory. But those were Fords. LOL You're right, you should change one thing at a time until the problem is fixed, rather than taking a "shotgun" approach.
  7. According to the parts list I have, the 2001 and 2002 ECU's have different part numbers. I don't know what the difference is though. Some of the 2001's got a reflash due to sluggish transmission shifts, and that may be it. Part numbers: 2001 = 89661-53132 2002 = 89661-53300
  8. If any rims are bent, they should be able to see that while spinning them on the balance machine. If balance is ok, then I'd check to see if any wheel/tire assembly is out of round. A good tire shop should be able to do this. Another check would be to rotate the tires to different locations and see if the vibration moves around. One other item that could cause vibration is if the drive shaft is out of balance. Most high speed rated tires have a folded layer of nylon which will flat spot a little when the car sits and you can feel that when first driving, but that should go away after a few miles of driving. This would be an entirely separate issue from the continued vibration.
  9. Regular gas around here is $2.09
  10. Maybe the vent line that goes from the filler neck to the air cleaner housing and charcoal canister is clogged or has come loose.
  11. I've never had problems with that. It may depend on the dealer, but I believe they get reimbused by the company, so they still get paid for what they do.
  12. If you're putting that much down, you ought to just buy the car.
  13. Hey, Orangetang. Welcome to the club.
  14. Some tests have said that the BMW 330 feels faster than the IS350, but it's not. Maybe BMW is just making their cars feel faster and closer to the edge when they really aren't.
  15. Yeah, some of them have "Hello Kitty" prints instead of Gucci. :D
  16. Sorry. Try this. http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/A...placementGuide/
  17. Here is a real deal on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/10-ScotchBrite-Easy-Er...1QQcmdZViewItem I just purchased one, Get them while you can. ← I got one. Thanks.
  18. Good on him. Edwards took some cheap shots.
  19. I got caught in a little rain in Ohio last Sunday so I went through the $4 car wash twice to make sure the car got clean. It had never been in rain before. I'd rather use the $4 wash twice than the $7 wash once, since I don't want the hot wax. Today I started to wax with Nano wax and plan to put a couple coats of NXT on top of that. I had good luck with that on my IS300. People used to follow me around in the IBP IS so they could ask me when I was going to sell it. I guess that's compliments. :D Many people say they had trouble with burned CD's on the IS models. I guess some of the other ones work ok though.
  20. You might find the bulb numbers at this site. http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/A...LRG-Results.htm
  21. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drive...rticleId=106607 http://www.men.com/automotive/7 http://cars.about.com/od/lexus/fr/mm_06lexusis.htm Most magazine test articles put the 0-60 in the mid 5 seconds and the 1/4 mile in the low to mid 14's.
