  1. I'm going to just buy a new regulator. Every site I've found that has a parts catalog does not have that part. Could you possibly give me the site you got yours off of?
  2. Ok you can go look here also http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=20953 for instructions. It turns out that the metal rod right in the middle of the door contains the lifting mechanism. If you watch closley when rolling the window up and down you can see it move past each tiny whole up and down the rod. Now my problem is its not catching the window when going up, it only catches going down, and I can't figure out the problem. Its hard to see on the other side on the inside of the window. If anyone has any answers or ideas please let me know! thanks!
  3. Well, seeing as I was searching on this topic I am going to be doing it tonight because a friend held the button down to long and it sounds like it broke off track, I'll let you know how it turns out, wish me luck.
  4. I would definately say gas tank. Every time I have rear passengers say whats that water slushing noice, I look at gas gauge and I am on a 1/4 tank most the time. Check your gas level next time you hear it.
  5. You should use Low side service port for the refill which is located on the A/C Compressor itself & you will more likely have to put a fitting on it by buying a retrofit kit. If this procedure serves me correctly you drain the current system refrigerant out the high side port. I have successfully converted my 91 Eagle Talon to R134 but I had a leak in the system and it leaked out in a few days. Now, as the Lexus is a much more expensive and picky car I have not converted mine because I am uncertain of the current refrigerant it is using and I just like the sound of colder R12. As I have been driving around without it for 9 months in Florida and wear shirt and tie everyday very hot. Compressor turns on and I still have compression just not cold, not even cool.
  6. I've tryed different kind of cd's, I havne noticed that cheaper thiner coated cd's read better, but it runs much better depending on the burner its burnt in. An HP labtop burner 24x runs better then my kick butt(for the burning features) ASUS 48x. I'm just ready to get rid of it cause it drives me nuts.
  7. Hey psolov, how much did you end up getting from insurance for your SC?
  8. Well, I think I'm going to go for 245/50 on the back just to make sure and if it works out well I'll go wider and lower on the next set.
  9. I'm thinking of getting 4 of the Falken 512's for my stock rims. How wide and low can I go? Will any size between 255/40 to 255/55 fit in the back on the rims, or will I have issues? I don't believe rubbing is an issue just want to make sure it will fit on the rims. Thanks
  10. Have you seen any leaks? Particularly rear main seals, would be leaking down under around the exhaust just even with the tire.
  11. I have replaced the backs 3 times in 18k but thats my fault, as far as the fronts go, I have never replaced them and have amazingly at least 50% tread left. Fronts are running BFGoodrich T/A KDWS's, great tread life.
  12. Its worth having on, you can find cheaper deals then $240! I check under my hood frequently, and the first few months it stayed clean with the cover on. Then it got cracked from hitting a racoon and within a week under the same driving conditions I started to hear some sand in my pulleys.
  13. Since you asked nicely, it refers to the traction control unit. Usually throwing an error code when it thinks theres a problem. Mine did that for about 2 months and I ignored it and it went away. Try this, drive around with the trac off for a few days, so everytime you start the car up turn the trac off. This may refresh previous codes and act as a new install if the unit doesn't run for a while when the cars in normal operation. Actually, does the Trac light automatically come on when you start the car up and before its put into gear?
  14. Go here and scroll to the bottom of the page, theres removal instruction links http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...++pump++removal Good Luck
  15. I just looked at it tonight on the lift, definately oil. It looks the rear main seals. I only have 112k on it, should they go bad this early?
  16. I used Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish, I'm very surprised that a metal cleaner cleaned plastic this well, it made it look at least 85% better.
  17. I have the same issue, havn't hydro lifted it yet to see close enough.
  18. Pretty sweet, a good way to get a little sample at how different exhausts systems might sound. Can't be exact with the sound quality but, pretty close.
  19. That price would be excellent if you got it for that. If you had the VIN# and had a Lexus Dealership next to you can run that # and get a full report for free. Check and see if the timing belt has been replaced and the last service date, 80k is the usual replacement, if that is the case then sweet deal.
  20. 85 Dodge Aries white(blew engine) 91 Eagle Talon 5spd (was a blast to drive everyday, gave it away) Now my lovely 92 SC400
  21. This PDF file will come in good handy for me, thanks.
  22. I have these on my car, it drives great, good traction & great tread life. http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/bfgapp/cata...forcetakdws.jsp
