  1. The word is Brake, NOT Break! :chairshot:
  2. Thanks for nothing! I sent you an email on Nov.14th which told you a way that you could send large files, and you never gave me the courtesy of a reply! :chairshot:
  3. The bobby pins shorted out the socket and burned out the fuse....put in a new fuse. :)
  4. I never noticed any problems in this area. Is your ES an '07 or '08?
  5. I would suspect the antenna to be at fault, mainly because the signal strength is probably very low, and this type fluctuation will cause the sound to go in and out and the stereo light will go on and off. There is test equipment that checks RF signal strength from the antenna, but it's generally pretty expensive, so maybe you can bring the car to an auto radio company to have them test it.
  6. You have a nice dealer!
  7. All gas engine cars designed today can only use unleaded fuel, regardless of the octane. I think you used the word, "unleaded" instead of "regular"......am I correct?
  8. How about taking a picture of your "6" lug nut wheels. <_<
  9. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being curious. In fact, I tried to see how my portable Garmin Nuvi would react when I programmed in an address in Puerto Rico, even though I had NO intentions of going there. LOL
  10. That feature was not available on your car.
  11. Since the car is still under warranty, I would let your Lexus dealer check out the alarm system.....that is definitely something that has to be professionally checked out. This is the first post that I've read about this type of problem, but to answer your questions, yes, it can be disconnected, and no, the factory system doesn't use motion sensors, so sensitivity does not fit into this equation. Yes, the alarm will shut off after about 3 minutes.
  12. In my estimation, this method that you suggest is not only a poor, uncomfortable, way of keeping the cabin temperature even. On top of that, it would require the compressor to run almost steadily instead of cycling on and off. This will definitely cut your fuel economy. Hey, we're dealing with a Lexus that has a sophisticated climate control system, not a plain old car that just has an air conditioner and a heater. <_<
  13. When you first turn on the Climate Control the compressor automatically starts, and the fan speed automatically adjusts depending on the temperature you have it set to. If you decide you don't want the compressor to run, you then push the button on the NAV screen. This new setting will remain even though you turn off the engine and than restart. If you push the climate control button on the dash, it'll once again set up the climate control to the default factory settings, compressor on, fan speed regulates, temperature regulates.
  14. Well, I wouldn't do it, mainly because of the LS's mileage. Why would you want a car that's considered 3 years old, and than on top of it........you'll be paying a premium price. I think that this is no longer a viable deal, IMHO.
  15. This is taken out of the ES350 Owners Manual
  16. This company has the adapter you're looking for, but it's not cheap. >>Lexus iPod adapter
  17. How much mileage is on the LS, and is this car being sold by a Lexus dealer or a private party? Also, how much $$ are they asking, and are you willing to take a loss when selling your car?
  18. Sorry, you can't download the Owners Manual from the Lexus Corporation website unless you own the vehicle. You have to supply them a VIN(Vehicle Identification Number). I don't know anybody else that can supply a .pdf file of this manual.
  19. I wasn't aware that the '07-'08 ES's changed the filter type from previous models, but that was the canister wrench they listed for your type of car.(Sewell Lexus). Like you said, the best thing to do is to call Lexus Corporation to get the correct information. Besides, the price listed was extremely high. I'm sure there are wrenches that'll do the job for alot less. I'm sure that other service stations can remove these filters without using the Lexus type wrenches. :)
  20. Actually, I don't change my oil myself anymore, but the listed oil filter wrench is supposed to be used for the '07-'08 ES 350's.
  21. The above post say's it all! :)
  22. Is this what you're looking for? >> Lexus Oil Filter Wrench
  23. Yay...........Good luck with the new car.......I hope you love it as much as I love mine.
  24. Improper centralizing of the steering wheel does not mean that the wheel alignment is bad. In other words, all they have to do to correct the steering wheel is to adjust the tie rod ends. and then recheck the proper toe-in.
  25. That's the main reason.
