Are you talking about playing the DVD? If you are, the screen will go black as soon as you release the parking brake! You can not enter information(grayed out) as soon as the car starts to move.

I should have added that when parking and using the auto tilt feature it's really much better to have as much mirror surface as possible. Example: The '08 ES mirrors are now very similar in size to the GS350 mirrors. I drive both my '07 ES350 and the '07 GS350 and I definitely find the ES mirrors better when parking.

You can see the difference in the mirrors here. They're reshaped and smaller in the '08. Personally, I think that the '07 mirrors are safer due to the larger size. :)

There might be air in the brake system. In that case you should bleed them.

Actually, the seats are not cooled.......they're ventilated by internal fans.

Your Lexus Dealer done told you wrong. Call Lexus Corporation and they'll give you the right information......both seat & backrest have heating and ventilating! <_<

I wasn't aware of this. The biggest issue I see then are the wheels, I don't think he cares about the emblem. If anything happens, perhaps Ebay might be of assistance or other local markets. I don't have any experience in these special editions, but think that ruling out a potentially good car because it may be hard to obtain a replacement wheel seems odd. In my 14 years of driving, never hit anything with my wheels (knock on wood) and neither has my dad in his 30+. Though, now having said that, I'm sure in 2-months I'll be scouring the net of for a used 2000 ES Millennium wheel . An auto manufacturer is required to manufacture parts for a period of 7 years, so it could be difficult to get the special replacement wheels that were originally equipped with this model.

You'll have the latest disc that Lexus installed, which was probably released October 2006. They won't have the new DVD version until October 2007.

Years ago when Lexus started installing NAV systems in their cars the first upgrade was free. Now if you want the newest DVD disc you have to purchase it for about $300. :whistles: The newest upgrades are released around every October.

That's the attitude today......REPLACE IT! :whistles: In reality, all that has to be done is to replace the screen, but dealers don't want to be bothered doing this because of the time factor. I would call Lexus Corporation directly and find out if this is considered the only option you have.

Maybe I'm imagining it, but the seat ventilators & heaters work on the back cushions also.
