  1. Just checked with my dealer here in Des Moines; $525. for LS 460. They recommended you get a complete list of all there service includes. Paul
  2. How to be really popular at home! Funny stuff dc. Paul
  3. Well.....I was close, by 3/4 of a continent. Some summer we are traveling to Canada. Paul
  4. Welcome and happy new year! I'm trying to guess you state...Florida? Paul
  5. I don't have any information on this, but you might try posting the question on the Audio/Video/Electronics section at the bottom end of the main page. Paul
  6. You've been talking to my wife. That's something she says she want's with me. Better handling so she can stop the beatings! Thanks for the answer. I can see now that with the sport package they would include those as it also has the push button suspension selection. Your the Shell answer man! Paul
  7. I have an 07', S80 Volvo, with Sport Package. It came from the factory with 245/40/18 tires. I can't find any one who can explain, including the dealer, why a sedan would need such a big/wide tire. It is good in snow and mpg runs about 28 on the highway.(engine is 3.2 non turbo). Does any one here know?? Any info. is better than what I've got so far. Thanks, Paul.
  8. I'm on my 2nd ES and I can tell you that I've never met an owner that talked about lean in corners. They will always talk about a quiet ride, a smooth ride, tire wear. Never diameter, BUT, they will beat you !Removed! over tire brand a model type! LOL The ES crowd are there for the ride and comfort. Zero to 60 in 5 seconds doesn't mean much. Nice, but not important. Paul no shortage of es owners on this forum who are very interested in improving performance....I mean handling, not 0-60 which is fine at 7 secs flat This is why God made focus groups. You can accuse Toyota of a lot of things, but marketing stupidity isn't one of them. If their research found that ES drivers were consumed with formula one type handling, do you you think they would have kept making the same style ES over and over again, year after year?. Paul
  9. D A M N. Old AGE sucks got CRS huh. Can't remember *BLEEP*. You just posted it a day ago. I am just busting your @&$$@. :) :) WELL.....just one little problem. In addition to CRS, I also suffer from congentital STUPID! I forgot to post the link along with the above. I am very sorry. Geeeez...... Forgive, Paul http://www.prioritystart.com/ps_pro.html
  10. Do you think this is a good idea. It was posted some time ago and I had forgotten about it until now. Paul
  11. Hey Army, Thanks for the heads up. I will follow the advice. Happy New Year, Paul Paul... I would put a trickle charger on it. You may want to check on eBay... I bought a Harley Davidson Smart Charger for about $40.00. I keep my Deuce on it year round. Sorry for the late reply. Doing the Christmas thing! Merry Christmas... Hi my friend, No problem, I was surprised to hear from you or anyone today since all of us were making Merry. We had a wonderful time with family and an even better time with great food! Is there a difference in the amount of voltage and/or amperage put out by various trickle chargers, or are they mostly all the same. Also, will any brand be suitable or should I go to an auto parts store and not a Walmart. Thanks very much for your help and patience. Paul
  12. Hey Army, Thanks for the heads up. I will follow the advice. Happy New Year, Paul
  13. Hi Lexir, In late January we will be leaving for a few weeks and wondering about putting a trickle charger on the battery while we're gone. I looked at Sewell and they offer one for about $67. In your opinion is that a reasonable price and do I need it? Thanks a lot, Paul
  14. Welcome to LOC! I don't have your answers, and it will be a slow few days on the forum. My suggestion is to do a search for a lot of your issues as many are common request. Manuals, schematics and such are usually available on-line for a fee. Also, re; the radar detector. A while back someone posted information about mounting head in front grill. Just FYI. Paul
  15. Help us out with some clarification; are you saying that the "miles to empty" readout on the instrument cluster is reading less and less each time you fill-up? And, regardless of how empty the tank, it will only hold 18-19 gallons? You've already mentioned the miles to empty cruusing range, but what is the deal with the 10 gallons cruising miles;explain. Thanks, Paul
  16. Is Lexus service incompetent? Does a bear !Removed! in the woods? In absolutely no way has this been my experience!. My Lexus service has been exceptional and that way consistently. I know that this is not the case for everyone in every city, but let's not paint with such a broad brush stroke. Jim, let's lighten up. Paul
  17. All cars have some form of vacuum powerbooster, but that's not the same as the electric brakepump, implemented into the 2K+ GS models, providing automatic and full hydraulic power to supplement a quick or strong brake-pedal movement. Earlier models didn't have this (electric pump) feature and is noticeable in (less) braking force. In general, people tend to brake harder (and later) with this feature, as it's more easy to do so. Btw, I got that info from my dealer, as they experienced a big difference in longevity of brakepads in cars that do (or do not) have that option. Very true, but a quick look at the rotors (lip) could provide some quick info. If one sees a very pronounced lip (in a technical way that is), it might be more 'convincing' when a mechanic tells or shows him the rotors are done (and you don't have to take the wheels apart to see it). In an attempt to advice, this (and other info) can be a quick and visible clue in relation to a 'second opinion'. Perhaps some info is too technical, but it might help when speaking to a mechanic, as they feel you have some 'knowledge' and therefore are less motivated to 'scam'. Good points Intaker...and as they say, "Knowledge is everything". Then there is the other side, "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing." A guy can't win!! LOL I think your point of proceeding with as much information as one can glean is best, as long as one understands what they know. Merry Christmas, Paul

  19. Just my 2 cent's worth, but as I read the gentleman's original post, my guess is that he is not a do-it-your self'er, and has/is taken his GS to a dealer and a chain shop for estimates because of this. Advice as to what to look for from the mechanics, what to tell them, and what to look out for might be more helpful than getting a jack stand and taking off the tire and so forth.
  20. Jimmy, Please only post in one forum. Paul
  21. Don't know your answer right off, but in my owners manual it show's all the fuse panels with labels. Check your's. Paul
  22. Intaker: Just out of curiosity, how does an owner in the Netherlands get service bulletins for North America. Are you secretly on the payroll for the CIA? Paul
  23. Sorry, but I don't agree. The design is an improvement over previous offerings IMO, and it offers some flexibility in bi-level storage that was not in the 330 series. I use the features of my 2010 ES storage console every day and have zero problems. Paul
  24. 86 the nog. I'll bring the Brandy, you bring the Rum.
  25. Excellent points!! Paul (Pass the egg nog)
