Rx400H :: Does It Have To Be Replaced With A Lexus Battery?

I had to jump start my RX400h this morning and called Lexus after the fact. they said that i need to replace the battery. Do i have to replace my battery with a Lexus brand batter? or can i go to autozone and purchase a regular car battery?

Lexus battery is $185, not sure how much regular batts are?

please help.

Go to Walmart , Sams club, Costco. They have your battery and it will be better quality....It is the Same size that Many Honda's use....skips my mine at the moment...

Out today, shopping its a 51R series battery, Sams club for $67. Walmart for around $78 Sams club had a better warranty of three years at 100%replacement.

Wanted to add this is old news as the Panansonic OE batteries failed very prematurely.....

We're still running a Costco Kirkland battery for over 2 years - so far, so good!
