Shelby Leigh Jones Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Hey everyone! Need help with my 92 ls 400. Bout a month ago it quit running on me. I hit a small bump it started pausing up real bad while i had my foot on the gas the finally shut off while I was driving down the road... Well we don't hear the fuel pump starting up and we have removed the fuel filter from under the car and no gas is spraying out when the key it on.... I notice while installing my sound system that there was a silver disk behind the back seat covering a gold thing with two wires running into it. Is that the fuel pump? If not where is it located or any other ideas as to what could be wrong with the car? Hopefully it could just be something cheap and simple Thanks!!!

fsuguy Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 hi, If you had any loose wiring leading to the fuel pump (it is the disk behind the rear seat!), then that is very likely the culprit if your FP is not whirring merrily away!! You can do a simple test, using the ODBC connectors under the dash by the driver's kick panel or the one under the hood, to see if the FP is functioning. hope this helps
marlon08901 Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Did you ever find out what was wrong?? How did you fix it?
