Replacing 2001 Steering Wheel - Change To Wood Trim

Has anybody purchased on ebay the wood steering wheel cover that they say you can easily install?

The dealer will charge you an arm and a leg to get there parts. I saw this on ebay and was wondering how easy it was and how it looked.

That is just a cover that fits over your existing wheel, <_< Not very attractive in my book.

Your right about the "arm and a leg" cost from Lexus.

I posted a request on here and another reader happened to have one he didn't want. I tried junkyards around the country as well as ebay with no luck.

There may be another person on here who prefers leather. Maybe you can swap or something.

I do really love having the wood one over the leather though.

You may be able to try a wheel from an ES as well. They look the same to me. I'm not positive that they're interchangeable though.

The wood on the ES' wheel wont match the wood on an RX.

The GS430 steering wheels are the only others that look the same. The grain stain & shape of the wood is a perfect match.
