Engine cover emblem

After raising my hood to do a fluid check, I noticed that my silver Lexus emblem on the engine cover was missing. My dealer said that this was vandalism and they would not cover this under warranty. I checked on the part, and the emblem cannot be purchased alone through dealers. The cost of the engine cover with emblem is $136. Does anyone know of another outlet where the emblem only may be purchased. :(

Try Ebay. There are usually some emblems for sale there. You might even be able to buy yours back there. :D

I had my 2 trunk emblems fall off my 1999 GS 300. I thought when it happened the first time the emblem had been stolen. But, when I saw the 2nd one coming off after I hand washed my car, which I do with only water, no soap, I knew that the adhesive had failed.

I purchased a set from ebay but now I don't know how to apply them. The emblems have a reddish looking adhesive on the back but not tape over it. Does anyone know how I apply them? Thanks! Alexalee in Florida

I'd consider searching for one at an auto wrecker or salvage yard. Probably cost you $20 - $30. Good Luck! B)

I acquired fron emblem from ebay. Where most are glue adhesive, front are 2 bolts.

who had access to under your hood to steal it in the first place? should be easy to figure out who or where it was jacked
