  1. Dont ever buy Bosch for a toyota, Bosch doesnt work with Toyota very well, same thing with lexus, Denso would be the best idea.
  2. Does anyone know where i can get a performance radiator cap for a GS400? like a Greddy cap or an Apex cap?
  3. when u increase air flow in the exhuast system, you're losing back pressure, when u lose back pressure, u lose a little bit of your acceleration but u get a little bit more top end.
  4. oh... who's been drinking smoothie in your car? or maybe itz kool-aid, you better taste the liquid to be sure, ahaha, just kidding :P
  5. hey russkylexusgs, is your car white?
  6. 1998 Lexus GS400, i was on the interstate and i decided to see how fast i can go, i top out at 140 mph, i was wondering if there is anyway to make the top out speed any higher? or am i stuck with 140 until i got a new transmission?
  7. 1998 GS400, going about 135 mph racing a Civic SI, and yes, i did beat it. B)
  8. turbo will get you more horse power, but turbo won't kick in for a while, supercharger will kick in faster so u get a better acceleration, but i doesn't push as many p.s.i. as a turbo, they both work the same way so your engine will be damage in the same way, but you have a 2JZ motor, so i think that the turbo will work better with it.
  9. Denso is better than NGK, but the price on those NGK wasn't bad.
  10. how much did u buy that intake for? does it seem more powerful then the stock ones? what about the intake heat shield, how much was dat?
  11. you drive a lexus, it's a heavy car, there are alot of stress on the sidewall when you take corner, so for safety and performance, i would go with a Z rated tires, if u love your car, you would go with Z rated tires, they will onli cost you so much more. high class cars requires high class tires, go big.
  12. i also have a 1998 GS400, i dont have anything either, my car is just like yours, itz onli because our car was one that didnt come with the option packet, it's a low class GS400, dont worry about it, that other guy doesnt kno what he's talking about.
  13. Dealer says use iridium in the 400 and platinum in the 300. ← thankz for info. :)
  14. does anyone know for sure if Iridium spark plug is more powerful or if Copper spark plug is more powerful for a GS400. Different car work better with different kind of spark plug, so i was just wondering which would be more powerful, Iridium or Copper, thank you.
  15. Um....maybe the problem is that your pant is too thick? ahahaha, just kidding. but u spend $5,400 on heated seat? <_< man, i'd rather have a cold !Removed!. ahahaha. :D
  16. You from south California right? that's where i bought my 1998 GS400, i live in Minnesota by the way. honestly, i dont really know about the grey interior, if it was either tan or black, than it would look nice, but i'm going let you compare between my car that i just recently bought and that car in NC. My car is 1998 Lexus GS400 with 54,000 miles on it, 1 owner, and I bought it for only $14,700. there is nothing wrong with my car. I got it ship to minnesota and did the paper and everything, there is no problem with that, but if you're buying this car from the internet, then i dont know. i bought my car face to face with that owner. so good luck with that car. P.S. shipping is going to cost you a few more hundred :P
  17. well, here's what i think, if u got the money, twin turbo that SC300, if not, get a big !Removed! single turbo in there, it would be faster then the TT Supra. good luck.
  18. I drove my GS400 this winter in Minnesota twice, and i have just kept the car in the garage. 1- the salt will kill your paint. 2- if it's nothing but snow on the ground, your car wont go anywhere. so my suggestion is to not drive as much as possible, if u really did need to drive, then drive very slowly, even with abs, you will have a very hard time stopping, and you will have a very hard time accelerating, so keep those things in mind. good luck with that and watch out for curbs, i've hit many. :whistles:
  19. if you have a hole in your intake, then u better cover that up some how because if you suck in some bad stuff with it, your motor could blow.
  20. Well thankz for the info. i will put that into consideration then.
  21. your car should've came stock with the supra motor and parts, so itz normal, the SC300 and i thinkg the LS300 is like that too :whistles: not sure about the LS300 but the SC300 im sure, but you have nothing to worry about.
  22. So what kind of turbo you got there? A T1? T2 or T3? How much horse are you boosting now?
  23. Hi, I was thinking about getting a T5 turbo for my GS400, I was just wondering though if that turbo would be too big for my engine and would that be too dangerous? I'm afraid that if the T5 is too big then it is going to blow my motor. If that T5 is too big, then I'm going to have to settle for the T3 turbo. So I was just wondering if the T5 would be too powerful for my GS400. Thank You!
  24. Hey everyone, I drive a GS400 and I was wondering if anyone know where the power outlet is, I'm not talking about the cigarette thing but the power outlet. I'm trying to install a neon system in the inside of my car and was looking for the power outlet. So if you know where it is, please let me know, Thanks.
