Is the true, if so is there away to bypass this??? ← Never heard of that. The shifter and the Eshift only indicate a 2nd position, but the car still takes off in low. This may give the impression that the car pulls away in second gear. However, in auto, an e-shift mode, the car will start in 1st. The manual selection of the gear is the same as on a standard autobox. The gear selected in the highest gear the car will move up to - not the gear it starts in.
