denslexusgx470
well, it gives you a little info about it. I think the magazine version of Motor Trend has more info and possibly more pix(haven't seen the issue yet).
SW03ES
The lines make it look pretty credible, you can see the resemblance to the new GS. Not bad, glad to hear about the two wheelbases.
denslexusgx470
"These sedans are just the beginning: Lexus will redo the SC 330/430 vario-roof convertible coupe, probably into a true 2+2, in 2007 or later," -from the article I just noticed that right now. SC330???
VMF
prolly they gonna reveal sc330 this year.. but 330 means V6 and not I6.... and as far as i know I6 is more powerful but it comes only in 300 as of now this is why there were no gs or is
SW03ES
My guess is it wont be an SC330 it'll be an SC300 with the new V6 from the GS or an SC350 with the new 3.5l varient coming out.
denslexusgx470
Well, it's going to be a "revolution" in 06 with the new redesigns of the LX, LS, and SC and probably the launch of the HPX too. :P
SW03ES
And the ES.
90LS400Lexus
After viewing that sketch of the 07' LS - my first impression is a good one. It looks nice. When I first saw it- I was thinking that they are going the way that Acura did with the RL, because this LS has a smaller appearance, then I read about the longer wheelbase model- so I would not be suprised if the shorter wheelbase model is about the same size as the new RL. SW03ES
My guess is the std wheelbase will be similar to the current LS, which is actually considerably smaller than the 745Li or the S class. They wont make the LS anything like the RL, they have the GS to compete with it.
mbpgawest
Nice sketch of the LS. I have heard that there is a possibility of a hybrid LS also, nothing in stone. Brother-In-Law works for Lexus and passed the info on to me.
Lexls
Not a whole lot of info but interesting. I would like to see a hybrid LS.
denslexusgx470
I said this in the other forum, but my salesperson told me that within 10 years ALL Lexus vehicles will be hybrid (or as an option).
PK_Lex
I don't like it :( Its taking away the look of a luxury sedan and making it look more like a sports car...like the way Acura did to RL this year.
SW03ES
Wait and see some real pictures before you pass judgement, I'm sure it'll be great looking.

LinuxFan
My 98 LS looks better and display more class than that does. You couldn't give me something that looks like that.... try me and see.:)
SW03ES
Wait and see ;) People always do this, you can't really tell anything by these artist renderings, you don't even know if its genuine.
LinuxFan
True in all respects. But my thinking is that maybe someone is listening/watching (I am paranoid like that) and my comment on the current rendition might give them some cause to change direction so I post my thoughts comparing what I have now with what they have. Nothing wrong with that, I don't think.
SW03ES
You can bet that representatives from Lexus watch this and other Lexus boards. But one comments not gonna derail 5 million worth of design ;) Gotta have faith, people were bemoaning the refresh of the LS in 98 and look at how much better it looks than the 97 model. I wont say the same for the 01 LS430 vs the 00 LS400 but they got it right in 04.

VBdenny
The way it sits it bears a faint resemblance to a Chrysler 300E with the high beltline. I think it looks bad to the bone and I will take one if someone gives it to me!
