SW03ES Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 I need to buy a couple new pairs of shoes to wear with suits, I've worn Bostonian and Johnston and Murphy in the past but I'm thinking I might want to move up to something a little more interesting, black and bordeaux. So brings me to my question, anybody have any shoe expertise?
Lexusfreak Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 I usually get what's on sale at Sears so I get my employee discount. B)
SW03ES Posted December 2, 2004 Author Posted December 2, 2004 Alan- Naa thats a little too casual for me. I prefer lace up shoes with suits and I like something that shines up.

He said the following: STAMATI MASTROIANNI -- boots Giorgio Brunini--snake skins Cole Haans--loafers I think you can pick up the Cole Haans at your favorite Men's Shoe store, the other two I'm not sure of. Good luck!

Also most of the time free shipping. I'm using them for all my shoes now.

SW03ES Posted December 2, 2004 Author Posted December 2, 2004 I like em both (but not the Frankenstein shoe, sorry Bart ;) )! I saw that Zappos store. How does one buy shoes without trying them on though...

SW03ES Posted December 3, 2004 Author Posted December 3, 2004 They're still all mostly similar to what I have now, I want something with a little more to them. Lemme look around on that site and post some ideas...
99lsguy Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 My wife just got some shoes from Zappos today......... High Quality stuff.........
bartkat Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 Quality dress shoes will run pretty true to size. Just get the size of some shoes you have that fit nicely and order that size. Zappos gives free shipping even if you have to return. Their shipping is really prompt as well. I got my last pair in a couple of days.
SW03ES Posted December 3, 2004 Author Posted December 3, 2004 Cool...I might just give it a try then. Their prices are great.
DobieG Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 I love ECCO brand shoes. They range from casual to dressy and are extremely comfy. I used to get my shoes from eBay, but, like loads of others, I'm addicted to zappos.com.
SW03ES Posted December 8, 2004 Author Posted December 8, 2004 Bought some, two kinds. I bought Bostonians, a black cap toe pair with a deerskin midsection that is VERY stylish and comfortable and a burgundy cap toe pair with a woven leather midsection. Thanks for the advice guys!

SW03ES Posted December 8, 2004 Author Posted December 8, 2004 I'm trying to find some pics of them online...
SW03ES Posted December 8, 2004 Author Posted December 8, 2004 These are similar but they're a little bit different: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/1161656/c/1154.html The grain on the deerskin of mine is a little more pronounced.
