  1. I too have gone to Lexus of Highland Park. I had a bad IACV and the Service Manager, I think his name was Freddie was very helpful. It is smaller then Bredemann Lexus in Glenview, IL but the staff was very helpful, and the atmosphere was cozy. I recommend Lexus of Highland Park, if you are looking for a decent dealership to service your car. Good Luck!!!
  2. I don't know, but I'm hoping someone else will know, so they can tell us!
  3. What are you trying to say that we all don't know ? ← Not trying to say anything, just sharing...!
  4. http://www.lexus.com/models/es/blackdiamon...ml?s_ocid=20273 For those of you who are interested!!! :D

    Age?

32/female IT sales rep for a Fortune 500 company I have an '01 Lexus ES300
  6. jasver, is the cabin filter to change? Roughly how much is the part? ← Geo, I'll have to check my paperwork. I'll get back to you directly.
  7. Just had my 45,000 mile service done, on my 2001 ES300. I have an independant mechanic so it cost about $200. However, the cost I paid my not be indicative to where you take your vehicle. The one thing I would suggest is that you make sure you change your cabin filter, as well as your air filter. I didn't know that until it was pointed out to me.
  8. Hands down 2000-2001, before they change the body style!!!
  9. I have always wanted a Lexus! I did the smart thing and asked my mechanic of 10 years what cars out of BMW, Mercedes Benz, and Lexus would he choose. Seeing as how he would be working on it, he chose the Lexus. I have not looked back since that great advice. My Lexus is my dream car, and every day I know that wherever I need to go, it will get me there safely!! Living in the midwest the winters will kill ya!!! So needless to say this is my first Lexus (2001 ES Coach Edition), but it is not my last!!
  10. For my area, I found it to be right on target. There were a few roads even I was surprised that were not on it, but for the roads that are driven the most here in the Northern suburbrs, this link was pretty exact.
  11. A friend sent me this link. If everyone already knows about it, please forgive the duplication of information. I found it to be quite accurate. Good luck! http://www.speedtrap.org/speedtraps/stetlist.asp
  12. Steve, what a great write up. Thank you for being dilligent enough to effectively communicate the difference between the Avalon and the Lexus...obviously the Lexus is in a class by itself. I know I won't be test driving the Avalon, simply based on your write up, I won't have to.
  13. I had my apprehensions when I bought my black on black ES, but I decided to get Black, because it says so much. A black requires you to be on your P's and Q's, you MUST wash and wax your car often. When you get ready to sell it, you will be happy you did. I figured it makes more sense to get a car that will MAKE me be a conscientious owner. I love black, I plan on getting Black/Black from now on. Nothing is more classy then a clean black car! Good luck, go for the black.
  14. 31, purchased by '01 Coach Edition in September of 2004. I have not even driven it for a year yet, but I am in heaven. I knew what the average age of most ES owners were, I didn't care. I preferred the peace of mind of owning a reliable automobile!
  15. $2.15 Regular $2.25 Mid-Grade $2.35 Premium In the burbs of Chicago!!!!
