VMF
they already do have em, i saw lots of lexus cars in russia and middle east. most of them are not new but its still lexus:)
Lexus.
All the Lexus in Korea is relatively new as they started importing 3 years ago. They are very expensive because of import tariff. LS430 costs $95000, ES330 $48000, GS300 $59000, prices out the door including tax, fully loaded. For some reason the GS400 is not available, even though V-12 Merc Benz and Lamborghinis are. They are seldomly seen in Seoul, but if you go to the rich neighborhoods, you see them pretty often along with S-class Mercedes and 745Li BMWs. In Singapore, LS costs $200,000! flanker271
Has anybody heard of Toyota Crown? 2003 Crowns look very similiar to first generation LS400s'. They are quite big, roomy, and have powerful V8 engines. Wonder why they are not sold in North America.
SW03ES
Yes, the Crown is one of the the "big to do" sedans in Japan, and fancier Crowns and Centurys are often used with chauffers. There are a lot of different versions of the Crown, and they all look very similar to the LS at one stage or another. The latest one, the Crown Majesta is VERY sharp. I think its a situation where the Celsior (LS) was designed to be a world car, with buttons in english, and styling and manners that are designed to be applicable in sevreral world markets. The Celsior was designed with the US highway system in mind. The Crowns however and the Century are purely "Japan" cars and Toyota doesn't feel they have the same world appeal. SW03ES
This is the big boy, the Century with Toyota's 5.0L V12. This is a Japanese businessman's car, usually with chauffer.

SW03ES
The CrownSedan and the Century are fairly ugly (IMHO) but Toyota has some nice cars in Japan I wish they'd bring here. Especially with our Toyota selling cars like the Avalon yawnmobile...
SW03ES
Which would you rather drive? A CrownRoyal? or an Avalon? Similar strata of car at a similar price...
Lexus.
I'd drive the crown royal. How much power does the V-12 make? Are they higher up in line than Toyota LS400?
1UZ-FE
thats exaclty what i was thinking Lexus.
Lexus.
Love Crown Royal with Coke on hot summer nights when the girls are over, a timeless classic just like the Lexus car
flanker271
I would never get use to the right hand steering wheel arrangement in the Crown Royal, so I'll have to go with the big and boring Avalon :D
