  1. Happy Birthday Stevie! He's probably in Disneyworld or somewhere(like always), celebrating! lol. :P
  2. Why, what's wrong with my GX's rear door! lol. j/k. Yea I wasn't too fond of it, but it saves me from scratches and dents. I just realized that cars this big sometimes have their trunk doors (if they open up) hit the frame of my garage. It's a PITA that i have to deal with when openning the trunk of the 4Runner. And don't forget the FJ Cruiser too! lol. ;)
  3. I just noticed something (and thought they changed it in the new 570). Personally I dislike the split trunk door, it makes it hard to reach the items that are far inside the car because either the bottom door is too high, or sticks out (when it's down) towards you too far. <_<
  4. Try the Redline quiz. It's not as great as this one, but at least you get an idea. I was a Mercedes-Benz Mclaren SLR. :D :D http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendID=56355612
  5. Chicks :whistles: :whistles: :whistles: ;)
  6. To beat competition, it's should be at LEAST the current MPG, if not, around the GX's mpg or better.
  7. 92LEX just said Theory! Newton's law
  8. Folks please do not start different threads about the LX570 as it will become difficult for other members to read different threads so please try to put new information and thoughts and opinions in this thread. Thank you. denslexusgx470 ;)
  9. Just thought of posting some more pictures. Haven't had time to clean or drive the GX (parents seem to be using it now..... hmmmm....) but I got a chance to meet up with my friend to take some "memoir" photos to look at back in the day when these were the hot cars of the day. lol. :D We've got (obviously) a 2003 GX470, and a 2005 Volvo S40 T5 (turbo)
  10. Spanish (let's get back to english please, I took french so I don't know any Spanish!)
  11. Oh. I don't quite know. My invoice on the TSB doesn't have the price as warranty paid for it. I would unfortunately guess that it will cost you at least 4 digits. Lexus parts are expensive. They replaced my monnroof glass (because rubber strip was coming off, they said u can't just order the rubber but the whole glass) and the glass itself was already $400. Labor on the clunk will at least run around 5-6 or even more hours. So basing on the average labor rate of $100, your at about $500-$600 at least just for labor. Parts could cost maybe in the upper $700-$900 if you're lucky. See if the dealer could cook up a deal for you or something. My dealer gave me a "one time good gesture" on my rear door lock which busted out a month after my warranty was up. Try it, maybe they could do a 50/50 deal or something. ;)
  12. Do I dare ask what was her reaction???? :P
  13. Idk about rubbing the rust off, but definitely be careful not to touch the rust, especially if you have a scratch or scrape on your fingers or anywhere on your body to avoid getting tetanus. In salty areas, don't you guys do some undercarriage coating, which I don't quite remember what the term is. I know in the Philippines you have to do it, and I use Tuff Kote Dinol brand. Had it done when the car was brand new.
  14. I see. I'll definitely keep that in mind. Learn something new everyday. :D
  15. it's not at the Lexus Dealership it's where they work on Lexus's my Dealer doesn't do the auto body work they send to their auto body shop so do I need a Lexus auto body shop ? my insurance has already approved the amount.. I'm mad for the Auto Body shop ( Lexus) is pushing me to get parts ordered and get theLexus done .he went as far to ask me for my agent's name so he could acll and tell him it's all been approved .. he's bit too pushing I told him when I was ready I'd call. so what's up with that you think?? nothing like having some one tell you what to do ??@#$@ Obviously they'd be pushing the service faster because you are using their loaner and they want their loaner back ASAP. If you tried to look for other reputable body shops, it might have been better for you. If you went with another body shop, I would think insurance would still get you a rental car, just not a Lexus but it's good enough if you're satisfied with the service. Now I'm not getting a lexus for the loaner ..I need to get a rental my insurance will pay for one . Bergstrom has a dealership in another town that does the body shop work for the area (it's own by Berstrom also ) that 'swere I need to go for any body work.. It a nice large body shop compared to the toyoyta dealership .. I want the work done good. Whoops for some reason I thought I read a loaner somewhere. My mistake. But anyways, always go for the shop that you think will satisfy you. Trust your instinct, it will guide you to the right shop. ;)

  17. Hey he was the greatest martial artist ever known. nuchaku (commonly said incorrectly as "numchucks")
  18. Get you guys going on a new poll to get some activity going. ;)
  19. Looks like someone's going to be signing up for Traffic School on Monday. Gotta be careful out there and sorry to hear that your new baby got "baptized" (old Filipino term of like, "break-in" of something new, like getting mud on a new pair of shining white shoes) by a Police officer, not a Priest. . ;) Any consolation, but I remember when my GX470 was exactly 3 months old, she got used in rain (and in this house, we never use the new car in rain,) and boy it was painful to know that the undercarriage was gonna get a little dirty after that. But even up to now we still try not to use the GX in rain (and she's 4 years old already). :P Imagine when the 4Runner will get a taste of wet roads
  20. So is it suggesting, the (bad three letter word) E*D of "24"??? OMG! I don't think it'll be the same anymore, especially if Doyle's taking over....... :chairshot: Oh yea, another car to add to the list: Range Rover Sport HSE (which kinda got shot up, didn't it?)
