  1. Your tires tread life is fine, it is the alignment set up from the factory that is the problem. Take a look at the sticky on this forum that details the problem. What I did is take my tires off the wheels and put the left side tires on the ride side wheels. Now the inside of the tires are on the outside of the opposite side of the car. The tires are still rolling in the same direction, just on the opposite side of the car. This will extend the life of your tires.
  2. I have the same issues as everyone else with my 07 AWD. What I have done is had the tires taken OFF the wheels and had the right side tires put on the left side of the car. The tires are still rolling in the same direction, just on the opposite side of the car. This means that what was the inside of the tire (the side that is wearing out) is now the outside of the tire. This will get me a ton of extra tire life. I have the Michelin Pilot Sport AS tires. I had them moved to the opposite side of the car at about 30,000 miles. I expect to get at least 50,000 from these tires.
  3. I have about 1,000 miles on the Michelin's now & like them alot. The only problem is I got a nail in one in less than two weeks. Had it fixed for free at Costco.
  4. That is crappy service from the dealer. I just got the low dust pads put on my 07 250 with 33k on them. I love the new pads - they aren't as "grabby".
  5. I paid a fortune at Sam's Club so I'm banking these tires will last much longer than the Bridgestones based on what I read. Agreed. They were not cheap, but they have a 45,000 mile tread life warranty. My guess is they will be good for more than 50k miles. I didn't want to buy a tire that didn't have a tread life warranty.
  6. I just bought the same tires at Costco for my 07 IS250 AWD. The Bridgestones had a bubble in one tire & I didn't want to risk it. Haven't driven it enough to judge the new tires, but they better be good at the price I paid.
  7. Once again, BartKat comes through with great info. Thanks!
  8. I just had my portable Sirius satellite radio installed in my 250. My car is finally starting to feel like mine.
  9. He isn't LEASING the car, he is buying it. 25 payments of $700 and he will own the car outright. Not a bad deal, especially since his dad is going to pay for insurance.
  10. I would go with either of the Michelin tires, buy them at Costco, especially when they have the $70 off a set of 4 coupon going on.
  11. I am interested in this buy without the NAV. I just bought a preowned 07 without NAV. I have a lifetime subscription to Sirius & need to figure out the best way to get it into my car stereo.
  12. I have never had to ask Costco to replace a tire, but as stated before, they always honor their word. I will definitely buy from Costco when I need new tires.
  13. This website ROCKS! Just bought a used 07 250AWD & I am getting a ton of great info here. Thanks!
  14. Bartkat - I owe you several beers. I just bought a 07 IS 25 AWD today & it did not have the owners manual. You just saved me some good money. Thanks!
