  1. Would you also recommend changing the transmission fluid? I ask because the dealership charges $500.00 for the 30k service.
  2. Would you recommend servicing your car at the dealership or finding an indepedent mechanic? If so, what type of certification should I look for when looking for a 3rd party mechanic? Thanks.
  3. How often should I change my oil? Every 5,000 miles? Has anyone else noticed its hard to check the oil level. I could barely tell where the level went on the dipstick. Thanks.
  4. I noticed the fallou at approx 600 miles. I actually brought it back to the dealer and they detailed the car for me at no cost. Most of the fallout is gone, but I just want to prevent it in the future. Otherwise, the dealership charges $300.00
  5. Is there any way to prevent industrial fallout / rail dust?
  6. Thanks for the response guys. I tried the clay bar and it worked a little bit. You have to look closely to notice the spots. I'm just worried since I bought the car 3 weeks ago, they might say it was wear and tear. I am going back to the dealership and hopefully they won't give me the run around. If it's not rail dust, could it be anything else??
  7. I purchased my Lexus IS250 (silver) on July 8 and while washing my car yesterday, I noticed near the rear window panels and on the trunk, there are little spots that look like rust stains. My car is inside the garage 75% of the time. What could be the cause of this? Should I take it back to the dealer?
