i have a 2000 Ls400 i finally got a hid kit on them and i realized now how bad the drivers side fog light is ridiculously aimed high and doesnt even hit the road. i see there is a big round thing with a screw on it. is that the screw i use to aim them? i just want to make sure before i mess something up

thanks man ill try that tomorrow also do u think its a good idea to upgrade my fog light to hid with a hid kit. if i can do i need a relay harness, and how many watts 35w or 55w?

2000 Ls400 with HID Headlights how do i remove the hid bulbs? i want to change them from the original 4300k to 6000k the stupid lexus manual doesnt tell you how to do it. instead they say come to us because we dont know how to handle it. thats a bunch of bs to get money. the bulb is covered from the back with some housing. how do i remove that?

if it doesn't work from the drivers side either than it is most likley the motor that is bad

Its probably stuck and the old owner did not mention it to u. when u hit eject get a pen or something flat and try to get it out

i have a 2000 ls400 which is the same car as your 98 i had a problem where my car stalled on low rpms and when i accelerate the car hesitates to accel. one day my car doesn't start i got it towed to lexus and they said the fuel pump went bad so they changed the whole fuel system. once they did that all of those problems went away. so your fuel pump may be going bad and you might need a new one. you can get a new one here http://www.parts.com/oemcatalog/index.cfm?...playCatalogid=0

The DRL and the high beams use the same bulbs so it sounds like the bulbs are fine. Have the DRL ever worked? If not, maybe a previous owner cut some wires. One place where some owners cut wires to turn DRL off on a 98-00 LS400 is at the DRL relay under the dash -- I think the relay on the passenger side. Do the low beam headlights come on automatically when it gets dark when the headlight switch is in the "Auto" position? If so, that means that the light sensor on the left side on top of the dash is OK. i figured it out i just put it in drive and then turned the switch from auto to off and back to auto.

2000 Ls400 the daytime lights dont switch on on auto or on the regular position for drls. they turn on when i high beam but not on regular. are the bulbs bad?

you would probably have to get a 3000k HID kit. the bulb type of your ls is 9006

looks nice. how did you get clear corner lights?

it could be a relay that makes the lights get brighter when you brake and hit the switch. you might have to replace that.

did you push round power button? it could also be a fuse that blew out that controls the the the power button/tuning/ anything in that area.

2000 Ls400 Platinum series 240,000 miles

I have a 2000 Ls400. i started the car and the dome lights turn off like they're suppose to. then like 30 sec later they turned back on for some reason. the dome lights and the foot lights turn on and stay on. when i put the switch on door, off, and on and they still stay on! the fact that the lights are on on the "off" position freaks me out. also when i have it on "off" the foot lights turn off but the dome light stays on. then when its on door all of them are on. i even tried opening and closing the doors but that wouldn't work. the car doesnt say any of the doors are open but the lights stay on. it stays on while the car is off to now. so i took the fuse out for now. the fuse is fine i checked it already. what should i do?

i have a black Ls400 platinum series year 2000 i want to get touch up paint for it but can remember if it was obsidian black or black onyx. anyone know what paint it is?

those cars will really last a long time i have a 2000 ls400 with 230,000 miles and it is still running fine
