  1. the rought hot soak idle problem is only on 97 and up 1mzfe engines as per new emmision controls regulations making it run hotter with more open egr time as well as the temp causing engine gelling also.
  2. first question is what you want to do, second is most west side shops are not elite to me and i deal with most al of them. go to scarborough at KHF kennedy and 401 area perfect installs done once and right.
  3. I reply to a few hundred posts a day ,i don't check spelling . It is free info i thow out with out asking anything in return. I only speak English but type fast........................ same point is your owners manual is in English read it next time it might be useful.
  4. Road rage happens when people decide to disgregard laws and that the road is to be shared not owned. It sounds like you also know you caused the situation by not making up your mind and following through. Why you would want to get out of your car is beyond me, what could you possible tell the person that would not escalate into a brawl or an argument with you being wrong ?
  5. nothgin that new, if the previous year ones work which i think they shouldthen let me know.
  6. new rotors should never need lathing used ones on a brake job should be to make sure of it being true but it is always better to replace them if more than 3mm is taken off as tehy will rewarp again even faster. If you get a vibration after a brake job with the rotors not nbeing replaced or turned it is probably a slider bolt on a caliper bolt not regreased or a mechanic who used a gun to put the nuts on instead of properly with a torque wrench to evenly disperse the load
  7. you now need to flush your power steering system to get rid of all of it as you use tranny fluid in the power steering system not power steering fluid . you should have used tranny stop leak not that there is a gasket kit which i did mine withwhen i changed mine last year get it out asap
  8. it won;t be from the trunk as there is a gulley under the rear seats which would collect it instead. lift up the rear seat it is only held down with 3 clips one per each side and one in the center just pull up. be carful to be gentle or you will crack the leather if it isn't treated often. CHeck the amount of leakage with a dollar ill folded run up and down the gap for the window and rubber seal to see if it is out of wack. or got to a power washer and get someone to spray that side while you sit inside to see if it leaks
  9. fast short noise is because it is only rubbing badly in one spot for a total rotation.
  10. all money collected had never been dispersed from the LOC as proof was never submitted , we don't just hand things over. So everthing is safe and will be sorted shortly. We are lexus owners after all we research before getting or doing anything that;s why we got such great cars.
  11. if you have 6000 to blow on hid's then you can get them done like oem if not just get an aftermarket kit
  12. can't wait to see why there was a problem. as it is really odd
  13. can't wait to see why there was a problem. as it is really odd
  14. change your plugs wires and rotor and cap. all go bad all the time on the 92-93
  15. do you have a wife ,1uz and vmf ???????? columbo and matlock over here there are always answers to simple questions. depends on who you ask,
  16. do you belive everything people tell you? you have to have them lathed ? like saying you have to wash your car when it rains, it make no sense to be redundent. If the rotors aren;t true in the first place why the hell did you buy them. btw what vehicle does your husband drive?
  17. then they were so bad they damaged the wheel bearings or the sliders on the brake calipers are frozen
  18. your rotors are warped buy some new ones
  19. to see which one is bad lift the hood and when it gets to open lift it higher the weak one will just flop down more than than the other
  20. grease the tunk latch with wd40 a good bit it may be hard and the solenoid is not pulling it far enough to activate the light on the latch while you turning the key does
  21. brakes take about 15 mintues a corner once the car is in the air. read how to in the workshop tutorials that i made on changing them. ceramics make more noise than organic.if it only happens for the first few miles then you have rust build up on the rotors and they burn off like normal. if they squeal alot it may need new shims//brake disc quietner which was not applied or shims
  22. there is no prop rod only 2 shocks on the corners to hold it up
  23. agreed use meguires plastic polishX to clean the lens then use readin glasses cleaner for an amazing streak free shine
  24. call to gauge prices , it is your local area so only you know who you would go to ,so get their prices . Also if it softens when the a./c is on at a stop it isn;t crazy as a problem as the a/c kicks inthe throttle is closed but the rpms raise to compensate for the drag on the engine. So you will end up with more vacume causing the pedal to sink slightly. Check the idle control valve also as it can cause idle vacume problems also if diagnoised properly.
