  1. their are large pics but not for 56k as they are from my 4 meg camera same as above but larger http://us.lexusownersclub.com/albums/shows/PICT0033.jpg http://us.lexusownersclub.com/albums/shows/PICT0034.jpg http://us.lexusownersclub.com/albums/shows/PICT0035.jpg
  2. I haven't added them yet Your too fast for me Steve. Can't you see i am concentrating trying to spell tonight. lmao.
  3. It basically is 4-5 inches long about 3 inches in diameter looks kind of like an accoridan It is a fluid filter for trannies and has an internal magnet to catch any extra metal debris as well. The magnet is just a bonus as the 3 in the pan are pretty good already. It takes about 20 minutes to install on the tranny cooler return line attached to the rad. This line is needed as the tranny fluid needs to be heated to operate properly not jsut being cooled so it is dual purposed. This is why i did not add an external cooler also as the stock one is fine and i have a tranny temp gauge to monitor it anyway for problems. To install it you need to disconnect one of the 2 lines from the cooler. Basically the filter is directional so it has to be hooked up with the flow of fluid not backwards. Warm fluid is less viscous so i placed mine on the return line from the cooler as i mentioned it also heats to operating temp. This way i don;t have cloggin issues from cold fluid. Mine came with an extra hose so i did not have to cut any hoses. Basically i attached on one end to the old hose and connected it to the supplied hose and the cooler. Then tightend the 3 worm clamps and i was dones. 3 weeks later the improvment was drastically better. I would no longer have my cold shift points of 1-2 at 5000rpms but back to where it shoudl be at 2000-3000 when cold. It has progressivle gotten better since then as well. For $50 i saved my tranny and plan on changing the filter shortly and cutting the old one open because i liek to do that sort of thing. So all in all 20 minutes of time and $50 is a great investment. I explained this to a few people but will mention it again. The reason why so many of us have tranny problems is not the actually bad tranny but an infeior filter. The metal mesh sceen used on the a541e tranny is crap. It cannot catch the small particles which then clog the valve body. This becomes compounded by drivers who do not warm up the cars properly as it makes the cold fluid even harder to get by the vavles and check balls in the valve body. Thus creating less force on the clutch plates making them slip and creating mroe debris the mesh can't stop . So you end up with a dead tranny or at the very least a bad slipping between 1-2 and kickdown. hope this makes sense the first pic atached is of the filter mounted to the frame under the battery the second is a further back picture so you can see the location more in relation to the engine the third is one looking down from the front of the battery.
  4. first ,sorry but you got ripped off excad second i paid 40 for mine with 4 sensors a hole saw the brain an led display plus audible peizo beeping siren. They have bumper mount ones but they look awful sitting on the bumper to me.
  5. never changed my starter so i am not sure but it is very visable as i have chanegd its terminals.
  6. What are you talking about army????? KYB makes the stock ES struts? Shocks don't lower a car springs do.
  7. agreed with vcv draining and refilling is a waste of moeny and time do it properly or not at all. An external filter and proper fluid replacments and intervals is the best preventative maintance you can do for it.
  8. hmmm new member no question in this thread just hey i got something new you might like to buy sounds like an ad to me.
  9. search their are to many threads
  10. agreed they are the same what octane gas are you using in your cars that need the o2 sensors replaced?
  11. Might be the starter. Or your battery . I got censored ??? i don't even know what the bleep up their is for?
  12. READ THE FAQ yes it is louder will only produce incerases with premium gas and a properly made system crap ones will decrease milage and power as well as cause carbon issues
  13. I use 94 in everything i own. I am taking a non scientific survey and so far it seems people with o2 sensor and carbon problems are using low grade not premium.
  14. SOunds like a problem in the door pin switch telling the bcm that the door is open and not to lock it. Does it make any noise?
  15. Ture NC, I installed the filter after the warranty finished, so it was not a concern anymore. Lexus know of the flaw as the newer filters are a proper filter media not a strainer like before. I have been quite lucky with service advisors who look after me. So even with a heavily modified vehicle when it was in warranty they looked after anything for me.
  16. odd ? If the *BLEEP*er lock out is engaged then it shouldn't even click. It should do nothing.
  17. I know the needles are not servicable but they should be removable if done properly
  18. sunoco uses 93 or 94 most premium is only 91
  19. their is a 3rd injector in the manifold it may be plugged and spraying the wrong way. Causing you to smell it if their is another external leak.
  20. well noted vgr problem is we all know that that is not shuold be done. You don't need to drive like a grandma , it basically is the felt fiber backing on the torque convertor that is worn down from disconnecting the TC at high rpms that cause a bloackage in the valve body
  21. make sure they come in the red bembro box i know mine aren;t marked though
  22. You mean 89 not 98 octance right? So do you use 87 89 91 or 93 octane?
  23. retimed? it is controlled by the computer for advance and retarded timing not ever to me changed manually which would be by moving the timing belt one spline
  24. hot soak non restart issues iacv timing one of those 2 bad gas would be a consistant bad drive not just starting but anything is possible
  25. do you use regular or premium gas?
