  1. Has anybody bothered to check the simple things like tire pressure? If it is in its normal range add about 5psi and see how you like it. It can dramatically change the vehicles handling.
  2. Get a motorvac and stop using basic gas
  3. I have the bluetooth gps unit from HP to use with my ipaq 5550. It is amazing and cost about 200 to add to the ipaq. My ipaq is used for work and is more costly than needed for most uses. It uses navtec mapping which i love since it is the same as the OEM nav maps. I have a mount to fit over my cell phone cradle when i don;t need to see it and the whole package works perfectly .
  4. If you use the tranny without o/d on it uses more gas and creates heat from fluid power transfer.By doing this you increase the temp of the tranny fluid and the amount of wear on it uneededly.
  5. I agree it is either disconnected or they broke a sensor. The sensors are small magnetic pickups located you guessed it around the CV joint where it attaches to the wheels hub. The probably used a hammer to pund the cv out. They broke it and should pay for it. You will probably need to replace the hub as well while it is being done. Atleast i would change the hub now since you can only use an abs sensor once it will never come out if removed ,only crumble.
  6. It locks completly only when turned all the way to one side. It makes it eaiser to unlock the pin for the wheel.
  7. 2 years old it would have to be made in Japan
  8. remove the starter and buy a toyota startet rebuild kit with new bushings and the main thing is the contacts or just clean the old ones
  9. Agreed it is very rare to have a clicking CV withouth a broken boot. Unless a previous owner had the boot replaced and they did a halfassed job of reinstall and contaminated it with water and dirt causing the excess wear inside it.
  10. Depends on how bad they rub a 5mm spacer is the most i would use but they are not the best thing to do. You can spend a few mroe $ and get a set of H&R hubcentric aluminum spacers. It is the best and safest way to go beside getting the right wheel offset.
  11. whoa ,you take things too personal. I don't care to contiue explaining one and 2 word answers. You said you tend to disagree .fine but with what him getting coilovers. coilovers on an IS springs on an IS SS suspension tein suspension what part, do you see where you made no exact specific answer.
  12. I think it was up to 97 Log onto lexus.com and sign up if not already to see any possible recalls
  13. their was a recall 7 years ago for a possible loose bolt. A steering wheel bolt it either on or it is off, so if the wheel doesn't come off in your hands it is not loose.
  14. some 96 models have it also btu no button to turn it off
  15. I have driven and installed a few tein sets of suspension. One of the last was an acura 3.2tl. The driver always drops by and tells me he can;t belive how low we got the car and it still drives so smooth. SS kits are made for lightly agressive driving.Meaning highway on ramps and cruising. Their is luxury masters which are nice but way to soft for me. Bart you tend to disagree with what ????? Find a specific point i made and make a specific disagreement to what i said and why you disbeleive it.
  16. 225 40 18 with a 18x 7 or 7.5 width rim My springs are not 1 inch drop eibachs
  17. tein coilovers SS models springs are a waste compared to a good coilover setup like the SS which drives like stock without the roll
  18. It might work. first is the car lowered? what tires size are you going to install 7.5 is fine possible 8 with a 225 width tire 38 may work but i can;t say as it needs a 43 to match factory so 5 mm difference
  19. An oil pump sends/pumps oil. The oil pump feeds the upper area of anengine first to drain down. If an oil pump is not pumping you get no flow period.
  20. the bulbs for the buttons are about 2 or 3 that use a lens to project to the other buttons
  21. When you say it shifts hard it is hard from the clutches engaging or the tranny doesn;t engage right away then bangs?
