  1. - I had the headlights set to come on earlier at dusk (Level 1) - I had the headlights set to go off imediately after I turn of the engine AND open the door (I don't need them on draining the battery for 30 sec in my lighted garage) - I had the interior light go off 7.5 sec after I close the dooy (same reason) - I had the speed sensing seat belt chime turned off too These can be set or unset by any dealer. Most dealers should make repeated adjustments at no charge during the full warranty period.
  2. If you push the button on the KeyFob once, the trunk will open with the motor. Pushing the same button twice disengages the motor.
  3. Touch the circle at the very top left of the screen. or Touch the "On" button at the very bottom left of the screen, and then touch "+" or "-" buttons to zoom in or zoom out. Then touch the "Off" button
  4. I think this is the link you want: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=317601 It works great!
  5. Make sure the Trip/Odometer is set to "Trip A" Find the Reset Button under the dash to the left of the steering wheel With ignition off, press and hold in the reset button While holding the reset button in, press the Start/Ignition button twice to turn ignition on (DON'T have your foot on the brake). Keep holding the reset button in and watching the trip/odometer display until you see it flash lines (-----) Keep holding the reset button in and watching the trip/odometer display until you see it flash zeros (00000), then it'll read out your "trip A" again. Then you release the reset button.
  6. Probably the tires, but you might want to check this out with your dealer: http://www.lambros.net/tsib/2007LS/L-ST004-01.pdf
  7. No can do. You need an electronic tool that plugs in under the dash. A service writer can do it for you at the dealership.
  8. Can you just go to "Menu \ Setting \ Calibration \ Tires" and do it that way?
  9. Lexus Leather has a coating on it so much care is not needed. The warn cloth you're using should be fine. NEVER use anything with a solvent in it -- it will erode the coating. If you'd like to use a leather care product, I'd recommend Meguiar's
  10. ...or "MENU \ SETTINGS \ CALIBRATION \ ADJUST \ TIRE PRESSURE"
  11. It is true, the seats are very different from previous generations of LS. Once you get the seat position right, you'll find these seats more supportive than the 400 or 430. The extra support helps to reduce neck and back pain on long road trips. Unless your "bottom" is too wide for the seat, you should be able to adjust any part of the seat until you get comfortable. It took me over two weeks to find my "sweet spot." Try several adjustments and save each different one to a different "save settings" button on your door. Then drive the car for several days on each setting to find which parts of the seat needs to be readjusted. As far as tire and wheel size, it shouldn't make any difference to your seat comfort -- only to "road feel" and your ego. Good Luck and "hang in there" LOL
  12. You can input NAV info on the fly with a NAV Override Kit from Prestigeous Society in CA. Email Mark at: Sales@PrestigiousSociety.com Phone: 562-644-3268 Where in Texas are you located?
  13. What do you do? Walk on to the sales floor of the dealership and start raising your voice VERY LOUD about the lack of quality service you've gotten!!! I'm sure management will be there in a flash to take care of you concerns. Much of the bonuses for Dealership employees are based on customer satisfaction. You've got tremendous leverage with that. Lexus corporate would very much like to know which dealerships do or don't live up to the "...pursuit of perfection." I complained once with my first Lexus, and the owner of the dealership made things happen very fast -- and to my satisfaction. You can also contact: 1-800-255-3987 and tell them about your quality concerns. This is Lexus, not Ford or Chevy. Good Luck!
  14. Look on the bottom page 5 of the attached TSIB: http://www.lambros.net/tsib/2007LS/L-PG001-07.pdf You may need to have this switch installed.
  15. there is a update on the tsib for the 08 as of jan25 Do you have the TSIB number?
  16. 2008 LS 460 Maintenance Schedule says to "check" fluid at 100,000 miles. If it's ok, it's ok. There is no dip stick to check the ATF, because it is sealed air tight. Unless transmission service is needed and there are no air leaks, Lexus says it's 'lifetime' synthetic fluid. Air degrades the fluid. see: http://www.lambros.net/tsib/2007LS/L-TC008-07.pdf Sewell Lexus in Dallas, TX and Park Place Lexus in Plano, TX recommend drain and fill at 90k miles. At this time there is no method to flush the system and completely refill with fresh WS-ATF Since there are no LS 460's with more than 30k miles in the USA, we'll have to wait and see if Lexus revises it's recommendations.
  17. E-mail Mark at: info@PrestigiousSociety.com -- he is in the Los Angeles area. I purchased an override system from him (cost around $350.00) A little scary to install at first, but you'll figure it out
  18. E-mail Mark at: info@PrestigiousSociety.com -- he is in the Los Angeles area. I purchased an override system from him (cost around $350.00), and I installed it myself. The unit allows me to do everything the: NAV, Phone, DVD, Audio System will do when the car is stationary, WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION! Nothing is grayed out! My passenger or I can set destinations, watch DVD's, search albums and mp3's on the HDD or CD's with full info visible -- while the car is moving! Now I feel like the car is my own. I trust myself to be responsible in the way I now use the system. My passenger(s) can be entertained in a variety of ways now, while the car is moving, and I concentrate on driving. My passenger can even set a new or addon destination without having to pull over to the side of the road! This did not void my warranty and is completely "plug'n'play" -- no need to cut any wires! It's the best solution I've found to avoiding the paranoia of Lexus Lawyers.
  19. I have heard the EPA is requiring ALL auto manufacturers to switch from oil based paint to water based paints. Therefore, they'll be more paint flaking on all cars soon. Don't you just love environmentalists? I wonder what they'll say when their Prius paint starts to flake?
  20. Press the 'MENU' button In the upper right-hand corner tap 'HDD Data' Should say '7.1' Congrats on the new ride!
  21. Where did you get the unit? What is the price and the part number?
  22. Where did you get the Pioneer Unite part that you installed?
  23. What does the software upgrade change? Please drive the car some--especially on the highway/acceleration ramps to make sure ou can live with the transmission. I still am not happy with the "clunk/thud" generated with downshifts at highway speeds...but otherwise I have been relativley happy with the car after the two "fixes" you have mentioned. I think my 08 drives so much better than my 07, not sure why it just seems to feel better. I do have the sunroof chattering again although I know it's an easy fix for my dealer. Drive the 08 and you'll fall in love with this car!!! Software Update for Nvigation System
