Hey all, I have tried a bunch of times to tie the seat memory settings in with the smart keys on my 2010 using the instructions in the manual, but have so far been unsuccessful. Anybody been able to do this?

Hey all, My 2010 was first on the lot in March in PA and then was swapped to my dealer where I bought it. I was thinking about having them do a synthetic change when I take it in for the 1k mile check, any thoughts?

Yeah if you drive in the mountains routinely, I think a tranny cooler would be a good investment. For me its really the rare trip where I go to WV to visit family where I really have a lot of mountains to think about...

Well, they're all compatible. The issue is whether or not you can reuse the airbag module you have. That would only be possible with a 92-96 wheel.

To me the issue is not to extend the brake pads life, but to make sure that when I need the brakes they are not overheated and faded from having been drug all the way down a 5 mile 7% grade.

We should go find them and make them wish they hadn't done that ;)

Indeed ;) You're just not going to get 0% financing on a Lexus. They have 1.9%, but thats only on the ES and thats brand new, when I leased mine it was 2.9%. If you can't write the lease off for business, I wouldn't lease with rates this low. In fact I thought about it, and still do, what will the climate be in 3 years, etc... Remember though...leases do have interest...and low interest rates help leases too...

Look at www.fleetrates.com, I was able to beat these deals by $500-$1,000 in my negotiating. Now, that was on an ES which is in plentiful stock everywhere and with a subsidy sale from Lexus, an RXh may be different...

Mine certainly doesn't do that... Try unplugging the battery to reset the computer to the factory specs and see if that helps. Lexus' HVAC system is "intelligent" and learns from the settings you input as well as the outside stimuli. Maybe this just needs to be erased?

Oh yeah, there's no comparison in the transmission...

According to the article I read the 2011 will be exactly the same as the 2010 other than the classification for regular fuel...The car will likely be all new for 2012. Usually the new model comes out in September...

Thanks guys! No problem at all, my favorite subject! The LS is completely terrible in the snow, at least the LS400 and LS430 were, I haven't driven an LS460 in the snow, but the ES is MUCH better than the LS in the snow. That said, snow tires will make a big difference. In general I prefer RWD to FWD though. RWD cars have better drivetrain balance and steering is smoother and more fluid.

Lease payments are very hard to compare. The ES and RX are really cheap to lease but thats because Lexus subsidizes the money factors and residuals, if you move to say a GS or an IS the lease difference is huge even though the price difference is not as huge. The cosigner will work, they want to see either prior car credit or a mortgage for a lease. Its actually harder to get approved for a lease than a loan because the lease is actually riskier because theres no equity build over time...
