  1. They did finally do away with the I AGREE screen in the 08.
  2. This is absolutely true. I've not used a Zaino product that I'd call the best product I've ever used. They're good products, and the marketing hype would lead you to believe they're second to none, but thats certainly not true. ESPECIALLY when you look at cost... In terms of tire shine. You'd be shocked to hear what I use...Armor All. Yep, plain ol' Armor All. Its water based now and is an excellent dressing...and its cheap.
  3. Post more! The RX350 hasn't been out that long.
  4. Thats why its best to remain calm and reasonable and work for a solution to issues instead of just ranting madly. Anger is your enemy in situations like this.
  5. As for it being a legal issue. Since they're not the only manufacturer that does it, Lexus as a company does not employ the salespeople or own the dealership, and they've manufactured a navigation system for 10 years with the identical lockout and have never manufactured or claimed to manufacture a navigation system without such a lockout, I don't see how you'd possibly have a case. That doesn't mean a lawyer won't take it...which is why they have to have a lockout in the first place. I sincerely hope it is your last word on the issue here. It really is getting old. Spread your venom somewhere else.
  6. I was simply surprised PakShak had forums now...
  7. Everyone charges for updates, Lexus is no different and the updates don't really cost any more than other OEM built in manufacturers. You don't have to update the system every year. In my experience every 3-4 years is enough. $270 every 3-4 years for a fresh set of maps isn't bad. Think about it. Maps aren't free to produce, compiling POI lists isn't free. Why should they update your maps for nothing forever?
  8. Well, your LS400 is a more upmarket car than an ES. Drive an LS460 and compare it to your LS. The ES is half the cost.
  9. Really? I had the same tires on the same car and they were completely silent.
  10. But their competitors lock out the nav system also! Not all of them, but most. German carmakers don't, and Acura/Honda. Thats it. Infiniti, Cadillac, Nissan, Lincoln, Chevrolet, Buick (all GM) all lockout the system the same way. I'm sorry you've been unable to adapt to your system. But thats an issue with you. A bumper sticker? How childish.
  11. You can also order keys online for MUCH less.
  12. Seafoam's not going to help in this situation, the car is so new theres not anything to clean out.
  13. Thats not true. You can run regular unleaded on an ES330 right out of the pump without adding any octane.
  14. Yep, I'd replace the battery. Its about time to anyways.
  15. I have high hopes for the Ultima Interior Sealant I bought, haven't had a chance to try it yet...
  16. PakShak has forums now
  17. It is sort of like this forum in that its not a true representation of the consumer publication because only a certain type of consumer subscribes to consumer reports.
  18. Yeah you can run regular gas no problem. You can on the 02-03 too I just have always run premium. It reads "Premium is reccomended for best performance, but unleaded gas with a minimum of 86 octane may be used" or something like that.
  19. You have to subscribe to CR to fill out their surveys.
  20. No, the system isn't designed to work with NavTraffic.
  21. ALL car dealers sell this crap, not just Lexus dealers. In fact in my experience fewer Lexus dealers sell it, or sell it hard, than other dealers.
  22. I think he's reading that his model tire has that warranty, but when they come OEM the warranty is void.
  23. $750 for an IS250? That sounds VERY high to me...
  24. Yep its an 03 ES300, the 330 didn't come out until 04. Same body style. Thanks Alan ;)
  25. AH! I didn't realize it was so big. Email it to sewithrow@gmail.com if you wouldn't mind.
