  1. I think they will launch the IS350 for at least the North American market......simply because they already have the engine for it (it's sitting in the all new Avalon & will also be available in the all new GS in due time). If they do not bring the 3.5 L V6 (and leave the sole engine at the current 2.5 V6) Lexus will get there clocks cleaned by BMW & Mercedes! I do doubt however that Lexus will bring over the diesel model which looks awesome on paper actually! (I'll take torque over horsepower anyday personally). My only question is will the IS be offered with AWD & will it be a full time unit like the one offered in the GS 300? :whistles: B) Very nice job overall Lexus has done on the new IS. ;)
  2. I thought all Lexus rear view mirrors were the self dimming units.
  3. It's explained in detail in your owners manual & is a very easy filter to change. B) I don't think it's needed to be changed every 5,000 miles however.......once a year should be fine. ;)
  4. Have you contacted Lexus directly or any local Lexus dealers to express your concerns about your problem? ;)
  5. You can do a seach on here or perhaps www.clublexus.com Other than that, check the wheels & tire section of your local yellow pages as there should be several places you can find that 'refinish' alloy wheels. I'm not sure about price to be honest so make several calls. Good Luck! B)
  6. Excellent decision ruby! B) The tire noise should get quieter over time as you put some more mileage on them. Wait till you put them through their paces in a heavy rainfall.......that's one place where the Falken's shine! B)
  7. Perhaps contact them by phone first & express your concerns with a customer service rep & ask them directly for their e-mail address(es). B)
  8. What type of tire are you intrested in sweet? Do you want an all season, summer only? Long mileage important, handling, price? There are so many tires available that one can get easily confused when trying to decide. Tell us in detail what you need & want in a tire & we can narrow down the best available to suit your needs. B) you should have either the 215 60 16 OR 235 45 17. Check the sidewalls of your current tires (factory size) or the sticker on your door jamb. Keep us posted.
  9. I'd consider searching for one at an auto wrecker or salvage yard. Probably cost you $20 - $30. Good Luck! B)
  10. I also agree! B) Consider either Mobil 1 OR Amsoil (I'm actually making the switch from Mobil 1 5W30 to Amsoil ASL series 5W30 because it's an overall better protecting & longer lasting synthetic oil). Good Luck! ;)
  11. Congrats SW! That's awesome.....I would have done the same thing. :D B)
  12. Agreed! Do a 100% fluid change (consider switching to Amsoil synthetic ATF as it is compatable with both Dexron III & Toyota Type IV fluids) which offers much better & longer protection than the others. B)
  13. Nice job Army! B)
  14. Make sure you get all service records (including every oil change especially). B)
  15. Mobil 1 OR Amsoil synthetic......I'm personalyl switching from Mobil 1 to Amsoil (ASL series synthetic) 5W30, along with the Amsoil heavy duty oil filters. Also excellent filters to use are Mobil 1 or K & N. Good Luck! B)
  16. Agreed sw! B) The body panels actually have to have a hole through the metal before Lexus will do anything. Pretty much every car maker is the same with that type of thing.
  17. This is very true...... Case in point: the veritlble LS PS posts about leaking and such..... Any car with 10+ year old fluid in it is highly suseptable to failure... ← Exactly 99 :D
  18. Exactly. :D B)
  19. So Mr. Plastic.....did you get the LS? :D ;)
  20. No fluid, I don't care what automaker put's it in their cars will last forever.....it will have to be changed at some point or another. I go by the 'severe service' recommendations in my Lexus maintenance manual......& be switching to Amsoil synthetic oil & ATF to boot! :D B) They trump Mobil 1 & Toyota Type IV tranny fluid. ;)
  21. The H speed rating for the Triple Treads will be more than enough of a speed rating on your ES....like already mentioned, it'sonly one speed rating down from V so I doubt you will hardly notice it anyways! :D ;) B) I can also get the Triple Treads in an H speed rating for my 01 ES size of 205 60 16. B)
  22. Usually gas mileage starts getting better after the car has been 'broken in' perhaps after the first oil change or 5 - 7k miles. That's exactly what I noticed anyways with my brand new Nissan Maxima. ;) B) What kind & grade of fuel are you currently using Tsquared?
  23. Overall (including some mechanicals & underpinnings) the ES is about 25% Camry, the remaining 75% is all Lexus! Good Luck! It's a georgous car. :D B) ;)
