  1. http://www.logical-source.com/productinfo....IES&id=4153 $6.97 Buy 2-3 and the shipping charge isn't as bad.
  2. I think they're great.I hope you feel the same. :)
  3. I just picked up a '10 last week and went with Bridgestone Turanza Serenity's. Highly rated on Tire Rack and tops in ride comfort and quietness.A nice upgrade form OEM Turanza EL 400 crap with it's low,low rating is every catagory.
  4. The ML system's in dash center channel has no volume control and is too loud,IMO. The center channel drowns out all the other speakers. This has been said in IS models as well. I find the system dissapointing.

  6. www.rockauto.com WIX Part # 24511 $26.79 Charcoal Impregnated Cabin air Filter
  7. How much will it list for? Would have to be over $75K loaded. The IS-F is over $60K. I think a GS-F would bomb. The IS-F isn't selling very well.
  8. Why would you even consider a trade-in? That car would sell on a Lexus GS sale forum quickly at a great price. Try selling it here and on ClubLexus.com
  9. Two threads? You must really want to lay some rubber down. Next time buy a Vette!
  10. "You need to use premium to achieve the rated power and the maximum miles per gallon" http://www.myride.com/lifestyle/feature_th...4120-page1.html
  11. Then a conditioner will work for you. I still use Zaino leathercondition even though it really doesn't soak in(except maybe in the perforation holes) because I like the matte finsih and scent it provides.
  12. I knew they were coated.I don't know where I got the vinyl from. It's got to be a plastic type coating.
  13. Aniline leather is simply dyed with pigment added for consistency in color, and shows imperfections in the hide, will fade out eventually in the sun, and wears fairly easily - not a good leather for cars, to say the least. Semi-aniline leather is very lightly clearcoated, and is typically softer than typical coated leather. It is subject to wear quicker and easier than coasted leather. Protected aniline leather (what most of us actually have in cars) are clearcoated, and are the best for wear, color consistency, etc. The LS and GS460 has the better Semi-aniline leather. I don't know about the ES. Somehow the IS with ventilated seats has the Semi-aniline leather. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showpost.p...p;postcount=101 Maybe Semi-aniline leather is standard with ventilated seats. :(
  14. I believe they are coated. A drop of water doesn't absorb into the leather.
  15. Leather seating area. Leather under your behind and back. The rest is vinyl on the seats. With leather being coated with vinyl,it's not the real supple leather of years ago. BMW's leatherette and MB's vinyl will wear better and look and feel like the leather of today.
  16. Like I posted in another thread. My dealer changed my pads for free without a TSB on my '08 GS AWD.. Just go to your service advisor and ask they do the swap. The worst thing he can say is no. I had it done. The G Man had it done in another state Lexus dealer.Others have had it done for no charge too.
  17. I thought this TSB was already out. They swap out the brake pads for a type that creates far less brake dust. steviej Not yet on the '08 but like I mentioned,my dealer service still did the brake pad swap for me.Others with 08s have had it done free also. A lot less dust and no squeaking. :)
  18. Tires have nothing to do with the pressure monitors. You can go anywhere and get tires. Some people get 20K on tires and some people get more. Depends on many things.
  19. That has to be done at Lexus dealer service. Some dealers will turn off the day time runng lights off and most won't due to it being a safety feature.
  20. A couple of weeks ago,I had my dealer service dept take off the stock dusty pad to a less dusty pad.No TSB but no charge. I only had a couple of hundred miles on it so I didn't have any squeal but hated the load of dust. I had the same thing done on an IS I owned. There was a TSB for excessive brake dust on that model. Kill two birds with one stone and swap out the brake pads.
  21. Ok,I understand what you're saying but in looking at both cars, you can see the similarities.
  22. The engine and drive-train is the same.Compression ratio too. The regular grade and premium gas difference is simply Toyota knowing that a premium requirement in a Camry would hurt sales. The shape of the car is very similar. The biggest difference is a softer tuned suspension and more sound deadening.Along with the Camry being bult here and the ES in Japan. The ES is based on the Camry or vice versa with tweaking.. To me,it's like a Mercury Grand Marquis/Ford Crown Vic and a Lincoln Town Car.
  23. I don't remember where but it was online. Maybe Amazon with some other items. Do a search and you'll find it at many sites. I would think autopart stores may have it too. I was too lazy to look. :D
  24. Don't know what steviej uses but 3M 08877 Silicone Lubricant Plus (Wet Type) is a good product. I've used it and have gotten rid of a creak or two. I read a post that stated Infinity mechanics was using this product on some interior dash creaks on the G series so I bought a can. A high solids, high viscosity aerosol lubricant designed for lubricating moving parts, eliminating squeaks caused by friction; protecting against rust and corrosion; sealing out moisture; preserving plastics, rubber, leather; etc
