  1. Just paid $700 over invoice on '08 Ultra Luxury with all options except rear spoiler..
  2. Hi all, Trading in my IS for a '08 Starfire Pearl/Gray Ultra Luxury package ES. Every available option except rear spoiler and I love that panorama roof! Should be in in 3 weeks. How's the trans flare and rattle issues on the ES? I hoping the late build of the model I ordered solved some problems.
  3. 7/75 for $1900 is a ripoff. Knightshade is correct. Here's an email I received From Troy. Also keep in mind these quotes are sales tax free if you live out of MA. I bought a warranty for a Camry from him. Hi Joe, Sure, here is all the info and quotes: I am currently offering the Lexus Platinum Program for 7 yrs / 100,000 miles w/ $0 deductible for $1415.00 and the 7 yr / 75,000 mile plan for $1130.00 on the IS250. Most of the details on the Platinum plans can be found directly at the Lexus website at the following link, including all the various terms and options available, just let me know if you would like a quote on a different plan. http://www.lexus.com/models/IS/warranty/ve...protection.html Here are the purchase instructions if / when you decide to purchase. I would need you to mail me an original signed letter indicating the exact current mileage on your vehicle, and a copy of your current registration.(If you are in a state where you don't get your state registration right away, I can also use a copy of the bill of sale, purchase contract, or some other official document which shows the owners name and address, along with the vehicles VIN) Sorry, I know its a little inconvenient, but its the only way we could come up to cover ourselves on the mileage and VIN verification. After I receive your letter, I can call you for credit card info, if that's how you choose to pay, or you can include a check, money order, or the credit card info with it. Also, make sure that the registration copy is legible (I have gotten a couple of them recently that I couldn't read or had part of the VIN chopped off on the copy). Mail to: Toyota of Greenfield 12 Olive Street Greenfield, MA 01301 Attn: Troy Dietrich Please call or email me if you think of any more questions. My phone number is (413) 772-0989. Thanks, Troy
  4. I went with a Xenon Depot Xtreme kit and am very happy. I liked the fact this kit has two fused wire lines you hook up directly to the battery for better fire up. When firing those HIDs it takes about 17 amps a side.Better on the battery than the OEM lights harness.IMO. Many others on HID Planet and other forums agree.
  5. Toyota uses WS fluid. The WS stands for "World Standard". The cost is near $50 a gallon. It must be some reaslly special stuff for that price.
  6. I stay with Shell if I can but will use other name brands without worry.I just don't use off brands.
  7. Some gas brands are better than others. http://www.toptiergas.com/ http://www.toptiergas.com/why.html http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers.html
  8. I don't know about and 'fast' benefit but I use Top Tier fuel rated Shell 93 V-Power.
  9. Electric leaf blower and 100% US cotton towels. I love most of the Zaino product line!
  10. Yeah but that's a Toyota safety policy. Our '06 RAV4 does the same thing with the keyed ignition.
  11. I don't think the salt is really that big of an issue. You can get a hose or go to one of those do it yourself car washed and spray water on the car's undercarriage or go to a car wash that has a car's undercarriage rinse option . I flush the car's undercarriage when it's warm enough to wash the car.I don't go to car wash places.
  12. Lexus doesn't install remote starts but Toyota does on the Camry with push button start. Doesn't make sense.
  13. I had my TSB pads changed and 21K miles with no problem. The best thing I did to my car.No more cleaning front wheels after 30 or so miles.
  14. Some say you can and some say you can't.The important thing is keeping the rolling diameter the same. I stayed with the Lexus engineers design of non staggering but went with 225-40-18 on 18x8s all around. I chose 18" Goodyear F1 all seasons on G-Spider wheels from Lexus. You will have a rougher ride with 18s over 17s but better handling.
  15. Toyota quality isn't what it used to be. I'll buy the Lexus warranty when my 4/50 is almost over.
  16. What I like is you can buy the warranty the last day of your 4 yrs or at 49990 miles. So you have plenty of time to decide and see if you'll keep the vehicle.
  17. These are quotes I recieved for my IS 250AWD for Genuine Lexus Platinum Warranties. RWD may be a bit cheaper. Call this guy or email this guy. tdietrich@toyotaofgreenfield.com Lexus Platinum Program for 7 yrs / 100,000 miles w/ $0 deductible for $1415.00 7 yr / 75,000 mile plan for $1130.00 on the IS250. Toyota of Greenfield 12 Olive Street Greenfield, MA 01301 Attn: Troy Dietrich (413) 772-0989.
  18. I had a Toyota part remote start installed at the dealer in N '07 Camry XLE with Smart Start. Also no second fob.The lock button on the original fob was used with the remote start. However.Lexus won't do an remote start install for some reason at least when I bought mine. One thing I dislike about Toyota doing a remote install is this new safety thing they put into effect the last 2-3 years. You start the car but when you unlock the door, the engine stalls and you must manually start the vehicle.
  19. Without memory package http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ind...amp;catalogid=2 With memory package http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ind...amp;catalogid=2
  20. I've read on IS forums you can put on some 17" IS rims and 225/45-17 winter tires.
  21. Read your post again. You knew you were going to choose the Audi before you even posted the thread.
  22. My '06 IS250 AWD continues to emanate dash rattles and sounds even after the supposed dealer fix (TSIB) mentioned earlier in this thread. How disappointing and embarassing for a $35k+ auto from a manufacturer whose reputation for quality is so highly touted. Lexus needs to genuinely address this problem and then recall the affected models if they truly care about the satisfaction of their customers. This and other niggling issues detract from an otherwise fine car, which in turn begs the question, is this car overpriced? It is if it does not meet the expectations of its owners. Would I buy this vehicle again knowing what I know now after 18 months of ownership? Maybe not. We'll never see a recall on a rattle issue. We're lucky to see a TSB. A recall lets everyone who watches the news nationwide that Lexus has a problem.Rattles, trans, brakes who cares. It's a recall. Word of mouth hurts Lexus but a recall really kills the company. I've been pretty lucky I guess.I have the popping sound at times but no other rattles or creaks that are big enough to bother me.
  23. Really have you seen them on the car ... i saw some pics and find they look sweet on a silver IS I've seen them and they look like what they are...an add-on piece but 'what ever floats your boat'.
