  1. How about these plugs, wires, brakes and struts Wires plugs simple rotors performance rotors KYB
  2. What do you guys recommend for springs/shocks/struts, plugs, wires...? what about cross drilled brebmo front and rear rotors with factory pads. I dont want to hot rod this out, but would like to use quality parts. I know the car is a cruiser/touring sedan, and I want to keep it that way. NO RICE!
  3. you're rebuilding it? wow- no body shop for this guy, huh ...
  4. Anyone know a very good tint shop in the state of Connecticut? I have finally decided to get it.
  5. no way- awesome- thanks for letting us know-->
  6. i'm in the same boat - sort of- 60,750 miles, never changed the fluid. I'll post a pic tomorrow and ask if you guys think I should. I'm starting to get worried. It's not slipping, knock on wood.
  7. LOL- hey, God Bless America! Where I can discuss a spoiler without having the kgb knock down my door or some iraqi insurgent shoot me cause I listen to music! B) To each his own!!!
  8. Thanks! the color is kewl and different. OK...I like the NAV, the dealer installed it and did a great job. All the runs were hidden, nothing broke. It was very clean. Again, the thing is not perfect, but i would say it is about 95-97 % accuarte. I drive from Conn. to NY (Queens, Long Island, Yankee stadium! Giants Stadium!) without issue. Yes, that's the antenna on the trunk and a 10 gb hard drive. I always get lost so this was a very good purchase. I do not regret it!
  9. IMHO- I don't like them for front wheel drive cars. They are basically there to reduce lift or drag on rear wheel drive cars. That's why I always thought it was weird to see a little honda civic with a massive wing on it. I guess they're fine for show. They might decrease the value of the car if they are cheap looking and installed poorly. Another annoying thing is they block the third break signal in the car. I know you can't remove it, but it would look cleaner if you did. To each their own!
  10. I agree 100%. A local shop maybe slightly more expensive, but because they are not a large business, they will appreciate every single customer they get even more. Besides, chances are they will not rush their job just to get to the next "number" in line.
  11. i have one i dropped- i use it on my rims...removes pitted brake dust
  12. nah- I have a friend who is daddy's little rich girl. Long story , short- this is what she said as this college educated 27 year old watched her like new 2 yr old truck being towed -" you had to change the oil in a new truck?". Needless to say, daddy got her a new Saab right away. She's a doll.
  13. Ok blake918 , i posted a new topic on the Nav!
  14. remember try to keep the paint lubicated with the spray it comes with - it really is some sort of detail shine spray. Also- it doesnt remove scratches, so you will need to treat the paint afterwards with scrathc x or something.don't foget - before and afer pics! and good luck!
  15. yeah- pollen is here too in CT. I heard the dirtier the cal duster is, the better, that's why I havent washed mine.
  16. the clay is the best- but don't drop it. Luckily it's very cheap to replace. Your finish will be silky smooth after clay and wax! My car was just clayed this afternoon, look at the previous "engine degreased" post. My experience with clay- stick to Clay magic available at Auto zone. The others are not bad, but clay magic was the first and original distributor. I've used them since 1995.
  17. thanks! I'll have pics of the nav up tomorrow morning. I had to send it in for an update about a year ago. It's not bad. Sure has helped me out on job appointments, job interviews, dates and weekend trips! of course, it won't find my 2 buddies new homes, but that's ok. Oh yeah, and it's not perfect. There's this one highway entrance I used to use that was a right hand turn and the Nav's voice would always say "left turn in xxx miles". Very weird.
  18. change the plugs? use better gas?
  19. thanks, that's a good idea!
  20. what do you think? I used gunk and the dreaded armour all. engine
  21. I found this for a quicker detail than my earlier post - Fast Detail
