  1. Will that become a serious problem over time or can i just leave it? Cuz i dont wanna adjust anything more if i dont have to.
  2. Its finally hooked up!! What I ended up doing is getting a cd player with 3 sets of rca preouts and plugging in the front, rear, and subs in those. sounds pretty good, but i get this humming sound coming out the speakers when i accelerate or just have the cd player on...dont really matter cuz when the volume is up, you cant hear it.
  3. Thanks guys, thats prolly what i shoulda done in the first place. Tried doing it myself to save money but ended up spending more.
  4. I have a 94, I fried my stock HU and I might have fried the stock amp but bought another off ebay just in case. I recently bought a JVC 200 watt Cd/mp3 player and I have an amp screwed to a box with two 10 inch subs. What would be the best way to install all of that without costing me alot of money?...i still have the power, ground and rca cables for the subs. PLEASE HELP!
  5. This is a repost of my older one titled Stereo Problems. I bought another stock amp off ebay to replace the blown stock one........ I have a box with two 10's and an amp bolted to the top. I have all the wires that are need for installation, and bought an output adapter because i was told that was need to install my subs on a stock sytem. I plug my rca plugs into the output adapter and then where do I hook up the four wires that are sticking out of the end of the adapter........I have a '94.
  6. Alright..heres the deal Turns out my stock amplifier is blown. The guy at best buy told me either i have to buy another amplifier for speakers, whcih would make two amplifiers, one for my subs and one for the speakers. That costing about 220+....Or I can buy a cd player that has 3 pre outs so i can hook up the amp and all my speakers to it..that costing about 160 for just the cd player Are those my only options?...if so what would be the cheapest route to go?
  7. ya, zeta what are u talking about. i have a stock hu.
  8. i checked all the fuse boxes and so did the audio guy when i took it in. where is the relay and where would i be able to pick one up?
  9. no...no lights turn on and also the 6 disc changer has no power aslo How do i get to the amp and what should i do?
  10. i just took it to an car audio guy at a nearby store. he said all the fuses are fine and that he doesnt know what the problem is..he also said that when he checked the amount of power going to the deck it was only 10 amps...he said the usual power is around 20 amps. he said to contact the lexus dealer.
  11. i checked the fuses and those seem to be fine.i just read a post about a stereo code that you have to punch in...do you think it has something to do with that?
  12. 94' es300.i unhooked all the wire harnesses in the head unit and pulled it out. i screwed in the ground wire from my amp, and then went to screw in the battery wire. the battery sparked when i touched it with the battery wire. so i disconnected the ground wire and battery wire and then reconnected the wire harnesses to the head unit. when i turned the car on the heat/ac worked but the stereo didnt turn on.
  13. i recently got a box of 2 ten inch subs and an amp, and i wanted to hook them up in my car. i unhooked the stock head unit, started to hook up the ground wire and battery wire when the battery sparked. i unhooked the subs and then hooked up the unit. when i turned the car on the stereo wouldnt turn on but the heater and stuff did. i checked the fuse that controls the stereo and stuff and it didnt appear to be blown..what should i do also, when i get the head unit repaired where do i hook up the output converter once i plug in the two rca cords.
