  1. it will fit a stock suspension sc as i had offsets of 27 on front and rear (just to try them) but they rubbed nasty when i lowered the car. The preferred offsets are 35-45mm. Might have to go w/ a stretched tire also (little smaller sized) like 235 & 255 tires.
  2. they will break up the front and rears but the colors dont match exactly. Also leatherseats.com leather is much softer and not as glossy.
  3. only as a precautionary measure. On a dry setup the fuel is added by way of fuel pressure. As you go up in hp shot so does the fuel jet (which in turn raises the fuel pressure). On small 50-70 shots the fuel pressure is upped to 70-75 psi. On bigger shots like 100 you can see pressures in the 85-90psi range which WILL strain a older pump. I bought a High pressure walbro so i am assured the pump wont flake on me.
  4. I agree..do both and it will save you on labor. But if you must go w/ just springs the prokits will work w/ the stock shocks (as long as they are still good) as there spring rates are not too stiff. I dont know of a 1.5" spring (who makes that)? But i would presume that rate would be stiffer and eventually strain your shocks to the point that they will need replacenment a few months after spring install.
  5. im running a dry shot w/ 100 octane and 80 w/ 93 with NO problems at all. Key more than octane is colder plugs and a good fuel system (i running a walbro 255 high pressure).
  6. I have the same shifter along w/ a wood/leather momo wheel and it looks great. I wish i can find that ebrake..(momo is out of there wood version)..let me know if you can get the one in that picture. I modified mine slightly and it sits lower then the one on the soarer above and it will no loosen up as i used the stock screw to hold it down.
  7. Hmmthose might have been mine cause i sold the car w/ the 17's and one was damaged badley. Well good luck!
  8. Why dont you do a compression and leakdown test and see if your motor is in good health. A properly maintained 400 should last double the mileage.
  9. I had BBS BUgattis in chrome on my M3 way back when and used them as my spares in the winter and bent one really bad. I have been looking for a year and nothing. Try ebay as that is your best bet but trust me nobody has them anymore.
  10. Exact same setup and it took a month to get the tone to break in. I would say 10-15rwhp at most from the exhaust.
  11. Im running 2 10" Kicker L7's powered by and Xtant amp and it sounds great. I also removed the 10" subwoofer to let the sound in. The trunk does rattle even after using spray on sound deadening. Also vibrates the heck out of the rear panel covering the rear deck. But what do you expect w/ 1000w!
  12. I agree both engines are very similar in the reliablity department w/ the 400 maybe slightly better. The real discussion is do you want a 5 spd or an automatic (big difference).
  13. Thtas true if your making direct fit setup but any compitent muffler shop can make them work. Basically let them make a new section from the flange back.
  14. Not sure..could be the amp. Need to pull the radio and test the wires behind to see if power is coming to it. Otherwise i have stock mint radio for sale! :D
  15. i get around 14-15 runs w/ one bottle...its great for now. Once the FI gets going ill use the nitrous for cooling.
  16. im running a 80 shot dry nos system. But for wet use nx express by far the best. The install is a little more difficult as you need to tap the banjo bolt on the fuel feed line to get the fuel.
  17. im running 275/35/18 inch bridgestone s03 in the rear very grippy but no where near drag radials. i would pick up a set of 245 " drags on the stock rims and i know you should hit 14's. Good luck!
  18. the passengers side is harder..you need to go through the glovebox. But the drivers is easy. there are i believe 4 torx bolts on the back side of the wheel remove them and the airbag comes out. disconnect the harness and remove the center bolt holding the wheel on and pull off. Dont forget to remove the neg off the battery and wait a few mintues before removing or installing as you dont want the airbag to accidentally go off (just a precaution).
  19. emailed you back...i want 150 (have it for sale in the classified section)..i thinks thats reasonable as it cost 300-400 at junkyards (if they sell them) to over 1000 at the dealer. airbag is perfect shape..wheel though is worn but not ripped.
  20. Damn..if you pulled a 2.0 on that 15.2 run you would've easily hit high 14's. Very good. How was the temperature that day..i made my 14.9 on a 100 degree track temp. I also only removed the center section and i just did my emissions last week and passed w/ flying colors. The supra seats are powered on the drivers side and manual on the passengers. They are a DIRECT bolt in. The plugs are different ..there is like 8 wires from the sc harness and 2 for the supra. Just use a multimeter and find the pos/neg and splice them and your done.
  21. no didn't get a chance to run w/o the exhaust. Trust me makes a big difference going to true duals because that midsection is a big restriction. The mufflers are not that much heavier that my aftermarket ones maybe 5-7 lbs each. The seats together 85 lbs versus the stockers that weigh like ~125 so there is some savings. Plus they have more support and are sportier looking. Try talking off the headlight also and you should be pretty close to 15.0 flat.
  22. You have to remember that the when he took those measurements that again the active suspension in in the way so there will be some pressure drop due to the lack of space and routing of the equipment. On US cars we dont have to deal with those components so there is a straight shot up to the filter. The space im talking about is just right of the pass. marker light. One 90 degree turn and right into the air filter. Using Peters way requires the air to go left 90 degree turn once past the radiator opening and another right 90 once past the headlight. Also the difference in height of the 2 openings are only about 3" in the vertical direction. His way is far superior than this one for the overseas sc's but not in the us version.
  23. Planet soarer has documented that regular dino oil is best and doesn't offer any performance or longevity increases as long as it is changed regularly (3000) miles. With synthetic the oil changed can probably be extended to 4-5000 especially when using royal purple, amsoil or redline.
  24. i have a tan sc400 airbag and wheel (the wheel is worn) email me at vn_performance@hotmail.com and make an offer. I dont have the passengers.
