  1. LOL... Fair enough... I don't think anybody is saying that he is or isn't handling him self fine. Nor is anyone trying to save the guy or make excuses for him. I read some of the opinions of the other members, and wanted to post mine. Simple as that. IMO I always find it funny how a lot of people make such a point of making sure that everyone knows that the RX is not an EXTREME 4x4. That’s fine, I agree as well actually, but all I was saying that IMO it is a utility vehicle, and therefore some of these things don't look as out of place as according to the opinions of some. IMO LOL
  2. I always find it interesting how people use such extreme examples. I have my snow board rack attached all winter, its functional and it looks pretty slick too (IMO) lol. I think that we have to keep in mind that these vehicles do have the UV as part of there LUV name, they are not cars, pretty close but not. I'm not saying that we should enter a 4x4 rally, but many of us, do use these things in ways I would never my car, IE taking it up the mountain with roof racks and carriers attached, or pulling my sea doos in the summer. I personally think that the bull bar Cduluk went with looks pretty OK, definitely not bad... I mean if you had gone with the full BUSH bars that I see on some Fords and Chevy's in my neck of the woods, I'd be singing a different tune. It looks similar to many that I've seen on MB ML's and I think that the RX is arguably in the same class. I definitly don't think it looks out of place on it. My .02.
  3. So, I thought that I would put into my RX330 a cargo net that I have from a previous vehicle. It seemed to be the perfect size, and even clipped in nicely to the bottom two clips. I then noticed that there are no clips on the top which made me think that perhaps the RX isn't meant to be equipped with such a device. But after a quick Google search it is. So I called myLocal Lexus dealer to inquire. And apparently you have to have the clips installed as they are not always present. OK? "How much are the clips, I'd like to order 2?" We don't sell the clips, they come with the net. So now I HAVE to buy the net from Lexus to get the clips? This doesn’t seem right to me. Someone please tell me, or send me in the direction of a place that I can acquire these. Funny thing is for the longest time I didn't even care if the net was there or not, as the compartments seems to do the trick in most cases, but now I'm curious, and want that Net! B)
  4. Do a search in the forums, and you will find a few threads on what it can be (Jammed cd, or laser issue)... In my case when I had Error 3, to get the CD out, I repeatedly hit the eject button while it was "trying" to eject and it did the trick to get the CD out.
  5. Good to know how to turn it off... But I've got a question? What else can cause this besides Oil/filters requiring changing. In my case, my RX330 is at least 2k from a required Oil change, and the Air filtre was also recently changed. Any idea, or should I take it into the mechanic and get him to do a read. Well after doing more searching apparently "The car will display the "Maint Reqd" light every 5,000 miles". I've never seen it before and I've had my ride over 40k. I do use the Maintenance schedular in the nav. Are the two related some how or not. Because if this is something that happens "automatically" then why have I not seen it before, is my new question... Thnx

  7. In my case I went to my trusty import mechanic, and he was able to find a used one for me. Installed cost me about $250. I did get a quote from myLocal lexus dealer, but I can't remeber what it was... I just remeber thinking "R U kidding me".
  8. Had the same problem: It was the lock actuator, needed to be replaced.
  9. We are talking about the format of how the topic, and related posts are displayed. It used to be you click on the topic, and then you can see all of the related posts in a paged fashion. Now I only see the "Posts in this topic" a summary type view... Try going to the top of the forum underneath the header and banner on the right side. Do you see an "options" button? click on that and see if maybe your in outline mode. Make sure your using the standard format. That was it indeed! Can't say that I changed that tho, as I've never even notice that menu there b4... None the less thanks Smooth1, my LOC interactive experience is back the way I like it... :D

  11. Odd. It did that for a few days about a month ago and then went back to the regular format with all of the messages and replies displayed consecutively. Maybe it is a browser issue. I use Firefox 3.0.10 without the issue. Yes, it was quite irritating. I've tried FireFox, same thing.. weird. I also Use IE7. I find it strange that this would be just me, as this seems to be a server/forum setting...
  12. Hi, I'm not a big fan of the way that the forums are now displayed, in the "Posts in this topic". One has to click on each link to read each reply, this must help with the speed of the page loading, but makes for a rather inefficient reading process, as you are constantly clicking to read... One can no longer do the quick scan of all the text anymore, only snippets... Am I the only one that finds this irritating... Maybe if there was an "expand all" option or something...
  13. Well interestingly enough... When I repeatedly pressed the eject button while it is "trying" to eject it apparently overides it and forces it out. Well atleast that CD is now out :-) I tried a new CD and it worked... so we'll see how long for...
  14. well i found a few threads on this site and another... http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...&pid=158127 I don't think it can be the laser if its only affecting one cd... IMO. But I guess i'll try the approach of trying to eject while cycling the power on and off, sounds like a bit of a streach, but apparently that has worked for some... Lets see... or alternativly i can just live with a 5 disk indash...
  15. I've got an 04 RX330 with ML, with the 6 disk indash. One of my CDs(#6) apears to be "stuck". It won't eject, and when I try to play it, I get an "ERROR 3". Any ideas on what ERROR 3 is, would be great. And is there any easy way to get this CD out short of pulling the whole thing out, yada yada... Thanks
  16. I think Bill Golderg said it best... How did they manage to make it week to week under the radar... That is pretty amazing, if you think about it, arguably the best machine in the competition, and they didn't get put into there first challenge till like 3 episodes ago... I think its because they didn't really ruffle any feathers... well apparently it worked for em. BUT MAN, what I would do with that car... ooooo weeeee....
  17. here... http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=193 and check this out... http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...?showtopic=5602
  18. Well I guess it is nice to see the 725 hp monster win it... Awesome car...
  19. Well for this model it is slightly different than the ES... I figured I would share if any one in the future needs it: Press and hold the back side of the "Tilt" button of the moon roof, this will force the moon roof to cycle through all the motions, and reset everything. Let go once the moon roof has, opened, closed, titlted open, and finally closed.
  20. I tried that (or atleast something similar) I'll try that again in that order... thanks
