  1. Awsome!! I would love to meet all my LOC homies!!
  2. try MY.IS.com and go to the buy and sell forum. they usually have alot of stuff there for sale.
  3. Welcome to the LOC Chris! I alwways like talking to people in other countries about cars. I don't know, but I find it cool that people in other cultures and diverse places are sitting in their garage looking at a car and thinking the same things I am. " How can I make this beautiful car go faster?? And how do I come up with the money for it??? LOL!!! well, I'd love to hook up with ya, but I'm in Florida. Sorry. I could take you Titan Motor sports, you could get anything you wanted there. But again, that's here in Orlando. That's a nice ride you have going there. Is that the stock front bumper or did you put that on? Is it a lip kit or the whole bumper?
  4. Yeah, I think you may have frightingly dirty a/c filter. LOL!!! Look at the hinges of the door to the glove box. there is a tab on each side that you pull inward. -----> <----- The glove box itself will then come right out of there. You'll see a black plastic carrier and the a/c filter slides out of there. You probably have leaves and a bunch of junk in there. Put a new filter in, ( about 12 bucks) and see if that solves your sound issue. You'll probably also notice a blast of air coing out of you vents again also.
  5. Welcome to the LOC titino. The IS 300's are a great platform car if your in the market to do mods. Before you go much further, may I suggest some reading up on the forums first. There is a thread at the top of this forum called Modifying an IS 300, Chronicles of a Dream Ride. If you read it, you may see some good ideas that could help you come up with your own. If you post on that thread to the OP, he might come on and answer your questions, and help give you the step by steps you need. As for the sound your hearing, it very well could be the cat. Sometimes a chunk can break off and rattle around in there. Sometimes it can get wedged in there and so it seems to have gone away for awhile, but then you'll hit a bump or throttle up at the right time and kick it free again. Lextasy is ok. They have some good parts, but they mostly just carry candy there, no meat and potatoes go fast stuff. If your gonna buy a turbo, I would definately read that thread first then.
  6. Cool! I would love to. In fact I started attending the Club Lexus meets. If you want to get together sooner, I go that one on Wednesday nights at 7. It's at the Amazon Mall parking lot. I'm going this Wednesday. And I'll probably go to the Waterford Lakes Meet on Tuesday night as well. Also, NHRA's battle of the Imports is coming in 2 weeks to the Orlando Speedway. I'll be there as well. I may be working with a team though, so I may be in the pit and not in the stands.
  7. I look at it like I represent all the little guys out there giving the big bully a shot in the chops!! They need to be put back in their place !!! LOL!! Besides, the rules don't apply to certian cars. The ZO6 is one of em. ;)

  9. You didn't take these pics then?
  10. Ok, well, I think I unknowingly annoyed a ZO6 Vette today. I was travelling on the outside lane and he was trying to get thru some traffic. I saw we had and open road coming up in the lanes we were in, as the 2 outside lanes seperate for about 2 miles to merge into the 408. I think he wanted over into my lane and decided in front of me would be a good place to be. So as he began to accelerate, so did I. LOL!! He looked over and saw I was still next to him, so he punched it, and,,,,,,so did I. This little sprint imho, isn't conclusive. But he wasn't able to move in front of me. ;) And I don't know if he was wide open on the throttle or not, but he was right next to me when we started, and a half car length back when we backed out to merge. After we merged, he moved into a lane that traffic was moving a little better than the lane I was in and as he passed I looked over and grinned at him. :) He didn't seem amused.....But I did see him looking in his side view mirror a few times. B)
  11. cool pics. :)
  12. the only way I can think of is to make sure you give it a good couple of coats of quality paint sealant or wax. that will keep the salts off the finish atleast. Other than that, the only thing you can do is move further south where there is no snow and salted roads. LOL!!!

    Road Rage

There is something else that really gets me steamed, but it's one of those situations when you can never really be sure, but you know it happens. for example, these "people" I know. They have an aunt that is disabled and lives next door to them. Her disability is that she has gout. So she gets a disability plate and that thing you hang from the rearview mirror. So, they all have one on thier car. Everywhere they go, they use it, and jump out to waltz right up to their destination. We sometimes meet at comedy clubs, or resturaunts and I see them parking in those spaces. I have said something in the past about how that's not right, but he just laughed it off saying everyone does it, it's no big deal. Well, today, they met up with us for lunch, and I was waiting outside when I saw them park in the handicap stall. They were unbuckling thier seatbelt when I also saw a Grand Caravan with the wheel chair lift mounted on the back. It came around the corner looking for a space. there were none. So I walked up to my friend and told him to put his seatbelt back on, and move his car to the other side, he asked me why whats up, Then I waived to the Caravan and when he rolled his window down, I told him to just wait a second, this car was just pulling out, you can have this space. He thanked me, and began to position his van to pull in. So I went back over to my friend and told him that someone with a real disability needs this space, and if you don't move your car, I'll not only move it for you, but I'll give you a real reason to need these stalls in the future!!! So, he pulled his car out, the van pulled in, and he found a spot in the back of the lot and was walking up when the people in the van were just lowering the wheel chair with a severly disabled lady in it. I thought it was a great that he got to see that. I made some comments about I wonder how many times they couldn't find a spot because "everyone" does it. He had nothing to say. Over the meal, he did apologize, and say that he never thought about once they had the spot, and all, so he will be not using those anymore. Then I thanked him for being open enouph to admitt when your wrong and correcting it. But I just know that alot of people do, do this. There is a part of me that always wants to park closer, but on the other hand I have found that if you just park, you will probably get in and out faster than crawling the lot looking for that "closer" spot.

My grandfather was one of the most wisest people I have ever known. He would rattle off advise all the time. Unfortunately, I was too young to really listen to what he was saying at the time.Anyway, he told me once, that in order to meet 5 truly good people, you have to encounter 1 really bad one. So, you can choose to remember 2 things from this equation. 1) Once you have met that really miserable person, you can move on happily knowing that they are out of the way, and you can meet some really nice people now, and 2) so long as you don't let that 1 miserable person stop you from meeting those good people, you will allways be better off. So, in the past I have actually told the miserable people that I meet "Thank you." Yep. After they have said what they have to say, I just respond with" Thank you. My grandfather allways told me that I would meet one miserable nasty person along the way of meeting some really nice people. And now that I have met you, and gotten this out of the way, I can go on and have a wonderful day knowing that I'm gonna meet some cool people later." :D

And what's a Crispy Pata??? Deep fried pork leg And a Pabst Really? I mean I'll take the beer, but a deep fried pork leg? Man, that sounds like the hypodermic tip of a cholesterol heart attack injection!
  18. Well, to be honest, I don't think Iv'e ever heard anything bad about HKS, Apexi, Blitz or GReddy bov's. With any specialty equipment you will have an occasional failure, but other than that. I'm using the Turbonetics Raptor right now. I have now complaints. It does what it's supposed to. I have it set up as a recirc. I hit full spool by 2800 rpms, and the FI system stays nice and quiet. ( other than the rush of air coiming out the exhaust!) LOL! The HKS sequential is more about being able tune the sound of the air outlet. Other than that it is still the HKS bov.

LOL!!! See, the reason I put that scene together is this, Does the blinker ask "Is it ok to come over?" Or does it tell "I'm coming over." And then you, ( Being the other car), now respond?, or react? Do we let them in, or block to say no? Is it ok to to say no? Is it ok to ask to even come over? See, what I'm tryin to say here? flop brought up a good point, I hate having SUV's and big trucks in front of me. So does that mean I have the right to block others? Isn't that kinda being a jerk ? But on the other hand, if everytime a car or truck pulled up next to me and put on a turn signal to merge into my lane, and I allways slowed down or yeilded the right of way to allow them to move in, then I think my stress level be thru the roof!!
  22. Probably not much else than a good wash, clay bar, and 3 coats of wax, and full interior detail.
